I ran into some "traders" at my firm in the late 90's/2000 who thought they were trying out for a role in Boiler Room II. Once trading got a bit tough they were shown the exit. Bunch of clowns.
Making good risk/reward trades, spotting market patterns and future moves, demonstrating risk control and the ability to cut losses, being relatively unemotional about risk and P&L etc.
