Looking at this, it seems there must be grounds for appeal on the sentencing. The very basis of the idea, is people are equal before the law. is it not? thats in words somewhere, right-so to proactively "make an example" of someone, especially when there is zero proof of the assertion (in this instance, that it would actually discourage people from commiting tax fraud etc) surely would have to be discriminatory, and likely not quite legal. Well, thats great huh.........they FINALLY jammed up a rich black guy. They must be real proud of themselves.
.........they FINALLY jammed up a rich black guy Wonder where all our reverends are on this? Doens't al sharpton have his own tax problems? Where's reverend jackson? They all down nyc, where's the justice for the rich black man? Snipes probably figured out where his tax dollars go, not getting his money's worth.
taxpayer revolt is just plain lame. you wanna revolt, do the real thing or shuddup and pay your way chisler.
Sure, but tax scheme merchants are a dime a dozen, i dont know the specifics of this case. I mean, its not like his dollars went to say, putting a terrorist group in power, eg; hamas or similiar. Who knows what he was thinking on this one, but its a LOT of money. After what they did to willy nelson, heck, he cant have thought they would let him slide. Interesting to see the appeal.
If he had killed someone, he would have gotten far less time. Miserable drunk drivers across this state can wipe out an entire family and are set free to try again. Many get zero, I said zero jail time. The judges, prosecutors must all be drunks, it could happen to them you know, so they go light on everyone.
remember, if ya had this bros on flight 93 or the ones heading toward wtc, 911 deaths would not had occurred.
