Yeah that's exactly my point, you are utterly naive to how fascism unfolds.

Its not a problem for you, yet.

    "way more", JFC.

No because it can survive WHATEVER Canada wants to throw at it and prosper at the same time which will be very difficult for Canada survive and thrive a tariff war.

You're clueless. What happened in 2008-2009 then to the US when Canada skated through relatively unscathed ? Why is your national debt growing significantly and ours isn't ? Did tariffs help during the early days of the Great Depression ? Man, get a grip you are so stupid these days.

Not nervous at all. I told you day one, the only impact on our family is my daughter will likely get a tax cut from Trump. That's the resourcefulness of Canadians, we can succeed more in the US than most Americans. My family has numerous young people doing extremely well in the US. Yourself, it seems you had to leave the country for long stretches. From what I can tell the Republicans are pushing hard for the tax cut for rich people.

Something I find tiresome living in Colombia is the "no dar papaya" culture*, if it's not your immediate family, it's a maybe a zero-sum-game. If you give somebody leave to take, they should do so to teach you, allowing them to go to church on Sunday with a clean conscience.

I expect much the same exists in Mexico and Honduras.

I have to switch mindsets several times a day from dealing with emotionally driven peeps here vs. generally rational people back home and between seeing interactions as competitive vs. collaborative.

Gives me a headache. Trumpism will make everything zero-sum. You might get used to it but it sucks bad papaya.

    *literally "Don't give papaya".

it’s just a fact. Manifest destiny said that it was America’s destiny to take your land and destroy your culture and replace it with a better one.

Did Trump put Andrew Jackson’s bust back in the White House? Remember, to commemorate his slaughtering of the injuns.

edit: he did! I’m liking trump more and more. Hopefully he will force Indian tribes to turn their casinos over to the white man who can manage them better than the illiterate drunks that manage them now.

I suppose the message here is we need to fire up our nuclear program military side again. And let's be real here, you can have all the military you want but if Russia wants to start the next war a lot of Americans are going to die day one and your life may not be worth living in the aftermath. NATO exists for a reason. Some of you have forgotten you now trust Putin lol to act peacefully lol and respect basic human decency lol.

That's what you want right Canada to spend 2-5% of GDP on our military to protect ourselves from threatening nations like ... the US. Right ? I think we can get behind that no problem.

Ahhh.. you love his policies? Would that be his general outlook on the World beyond USA borders? And you spent how long living in Mexico and Honduras? No friends left in these 2 places?
