I actually agree with that. It's convenient to bitch about them because of WW1 and WW2, but the French have a strong history of protecting their interest. Id much rather kidnap an a few American then a few French. In the case of the American we have a history of doing nothing at all, and that will get even worse with Obama. On the contrary the French have a strong track record of putting together a rescue mission and killing the motherfuckers who kidnap Frenchmen. I guess it helps them to have the Foreign Legion in that if anyone from the Military dies it won't be French mom and dad's losing sons, but it's still a sad commentary on a former superpower who's becoming a paper tiger because she is allowing it to happen.
