You are the moron who politicized shit... https://www.kusi.com/medrxiv-study-...ed-covid-survival-rate-by-almost-three-times/ MedRxiv Study: Hydroxychloroquine and zinc treatments increased COVID survival rate by almost three times The study concluded the researchers found, “that when the cumulative doses of two drugs, HCQ and AZM, were above a certain level, patients had a survival rate 2.9 times the other patients.”
So a study of a mere 255 COVID-19 patients where 78.2% of the cohort expired somehow came to the conclusion that HCQ and AZM were somehow effective. The entire mainstream medical community is laughing at the preposterous claims in this paper. https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2021.05.28.21258012v1
Let's see what the people of Brazil think of their fact-free President... Brazillian President Jair Bolsonaro Boards an Airplane, and … It Does Not Go Well https://www.mediaite.com/news/brazi...o-boards-an-airplane-and-it-does-not-go-well/ Brazillian President Jair Bolsonaro boarded a commercial flight on Friday of last week and was immediately greeted with a chorus of heckling and extended middle fingers. The Brazilian president was also called a “genocider” according to reports. A recent video of the incident just went viral, which you can see below: Bolsonaro is a controversial political figure in Brazil, particularly for what many see as his mishandling of the coronavirus pandemic over the past year and a half. The Daily News writes: Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro said hello to passengers on a commercial flight Friday, but was roundly ridiculed from the back of the flight while posing with supporters up front. The so-called “Tropical Trump” was visiting the coastal state of Espirito Santo and popped into the flight before its departure, Agence France-Presse reported. You can see the footage promoted by President Bolsonaro himself, which presents a very different reception than that from the passengers in the back of the plane which went viral:
Let's check in with jem's "no-lockdown paradise" Brazil and see how things are going... COVID-19: Pregnant women and their unborn babies dying in Brazil as deaths set to pass 500k mark Researchers say the P1 variant has started infecting and killing pregnant women and their unborn children in startling numbers. https://news.sky.com/story/covid-19...zil-as-covid-deaths-set-to-pass-500k-12336058
500K people in Brazil have died from Covid? The hell does the US care? We've had 600k+ deaths. When Brazil grows up and gets up to our level of death, then they can be considered a "real" country. Until then, love-shack it!
Brazilians protest Bolsonaro’s role in half a million COVID-19 deaths https://www.reuters.com/world/ameri...dent-bolsonaros-response-pandemic-2021-06-19/ Thousands took to the streets across Brazil on Saturday to protest against President Jair Bolsonaro’s pandemic response, blasting the leader for not acquiring vaccines fast enough and for questioning the need for mask-wearing. Brazil surpassed 500,000 deaths from COVID-19 on Saturday, according to the Health Ministry, the world’s highest death toll after the United States. The government faces fierce criticism for passing up early opportunities to buy vaccines. Pharmaceutical maker Pfizer said it got no response to offers to sell vaccines to the government between August and November last year. "We are protesting against the genocidal Bolsonaro government that did not buy vaccines and has done nothing to take care of its people in the last year," said 36-year-old Aline Rabelo, while protesting on the national mall in Brasilia Bolsonaro's press office did not respond to request for comment. Only 11% of Brazilians are fully vaccinated and 29% have received a first dose, Health Ministry data shows. Brazilian media reported that protests had been held in all 26 states as well as the capital Brasilia. Many demonstrators called the 500,000 dead a form of genocide carried out by the government on the Brazilian people. They chanted, beat drums and held up signs demanding Bolsonaro be removed for office. "Half a million reasons to oust Bolsonaro," read one protestor's sign in downtown Sao Paulo. While organizers promised the largest demonstrations yet in more than 300 cities, gatherings in Rio de Janeiro and Brasilia on Saturday morning did not appear to be larger than the last major protests on May 29. Protests in Sao Paulo, Brazil's largest city and financial center, blocked major downtown thoroughfares, where protesters unfurled a banner the size of a city block demanding "Life, Bread, Vaccines and Education." It was unclear how the crowd compared to May 29 protest there. A special Senate committee is probing the Bolsonaro administration's pandemic response, highlighting delayed efforts to acquire vaccines while prioritizing unproven treatments for COVID-19. Last month, a poll showed Bolsonaro’s popularity has sunk to new lows with only 24% of Brazilians saying his administration is “good” or “great.” The same poll showed Bolsonaro’s left wing rival, former President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, would win in a run-off vote if the 2022 elections were held today. read more
