I think points 1-3 are non negotiable if you want to have a great life..Dont take health for granted..A little discipline goes a long way 1-3 should enhance work productivity,hence trading plan execution.. Compassion is a lost art...
Alright here is the wake-up call: no one here owes you anything, do not rely on anonymous internet assholes (me being one of them) to turn your life around. You need help and get face to face help asap. Does not need to be a pricey shrink. Community led sessions, charities or a good friend will do. 2. I am really sorry but you may want to look for something different than trading. Not because you are not good at it, but because it is not worth your stress. 3. Sleep, I have issues there too. This is work in progress and you need to keep trying different things. See 2/ above. The rest of the stuff is so personal that even an arrogant asshole like me would not even dare to discuss it. If I were you I would break it down and rebuild excluding this stupid day trading nonsense.
Easy method to test out and see if it helps you get some good shut-eye. Grab a bottle of melatonin 3mg tabs and a tab-splitter anywhere that has aspirin and vitamins. Set a time to have head on pillow, no ifs ands or buts. A few minutes before you hit the rack break one of the tabs in half, then break it in half again. You can use wirecutters for this too. Take that ~1mg melatonin and put it under your tongue. Head on pillow, cut the light. If your mind wanders, there's an easy way to deal with that too. One step at a time. You may get to where you use this method only periodically. Tell us how you do after a couple weeks.
You can break down 'family/compassion' into Intimate Relationship Children (if you have any) Parents and Grand parents (if still alive) Other family Close Friends Other Friends And rate how well you are doing for each type. Probably another section for Charity giving as well.
My kid was Ill for a few days and had 3 consecutive shitty nights sleep. I had him take 9mg (3 x 3mg) pills of melatonin. Next morning he woke up and was like ‘what the fuck!??’ Slept a solid 9 hours. He was a bit groggy for the day but it had a marked effect on him. Next day he took 6mg and boom another great night sleep. Illness also started to wane. We both were surprised since melatonin doesn’t really work for everyone. He took 1 x 3mg tab and now nothing. And sleeping very well again.
Good input. Not doing well on most of these [especially bottom ones] - doing pretty badly across everything today (not just that list). Finished down $9500 today - lots of things went wrong at pretty much all levels
