Weird picture, usually volume occurs at turning points

  1. I just bought BIDU on the lower gray line. Thought it might be relevant to thisn post. Let's see what happens

Many people know about the pattern that just happened, pretty common. Closed it off the upper gray level btw

  3. I would say that once vol went down, then price is bottoming. Then you would wait for price action to confirm that it's safe to go long.

However, you really don't need vol to trade. After a big selloff you get sideways action, then price will start to trend higher. So all you really need is for price to confirm that's it's in an up trend. I have tried adding vol to my charts but it has not helped in MY trading.

If something does not help, I remove it from my chart. If both MACD and STOCH produce similar patterns I will only pick one.

Remember all indicators are lagging. Their benefit is to confirm bias.

Not a judgement here... I use volume extensively! :)

    Just playing devils advocate...

You got long at approximately 205.5
The trade weathered a drawdown of approximately 5.5 points.
The exit yielded approximately 3.25 points.

Some would say it was not a very good trade as it was lopsided.

Meanwhile, the account continues to grow.

  5. I agree, it didn't turn out to be the best trade. BIDU has been volatile lately and I use vol adjusted size.
