Weird about doing TA prior to trading.

Has the role of TA changed in the way you trade ?

    Another way to look at things, is all of the policies, news, moves, manipulations, sentiment, etc. is summarized in one place: the price.
    That simplifies it too much, but TA is what provides analysis of the net result of all the influences.

    Fundamentals and the situation may be making you nervous. You're not alone. A number of people are looking anew at their risk management, in investing and trading, given the current 'climate' of happenings.
