Just finished reading Justin Hamis "How to Buy" which I ordered on Amazon. Nothing like classic trading books to keep you sharp. In it he mentioned Stan Weinstein, another author who I have read many times. Where is Weinstein today? Is he still trading? just curious
I think he has an institutional service called "Global Trend Alert", which is very expensive. He closed his retail oriented "Professional Tape Reader" newsletter a while back. I too would like to know what this guy is thinking right now. His book (although it has a cheesy title) is fantastic. btw, I heard in early 2003 that he turned extremely bullish (at the time I couldn't believe it as I was convinced it was another shallow bear market rally). scroll down a bit: http://www.nightlybusiness.org/transcript/2003/transcript062003.html and..... http://www.nightlybusiness.org/transcript/2002/transcript122002.html This is a 1999 interview which requires the gracious assistance of Henry: http://kiki27dt.free.fr/Dossiers/Interview_traders/Stan_Weinstein.htm A more recent interview: http://www.nightlybusiness.org/transcript/2004/transcript010204.html Anyone know more?
I thought Mamis' other book, "When to Sell" was better although I haven't looked at either book for at least a decade.
Yeah, what is it with the spiffy coife? The Fleckmeister also sports a killer mullet. Maybe that's what's been missing in my plan to dominate the world of trading!
