Weinstein Trading and Fading

  1. Hello Whats next,

Welcome to ET. It appears that your new to ET as "what's next?" name has been registered just this month. Its not really difficult to know who you are. How many names on ET does that make for you now bighog??

I am sorry that I bring out so much anger in you. I have never done anything to you and I think I have been respectful to just about everyone I have been in contact with.

On one hand your attempt to hijack my journal is unwanted but then on the other hand you are helping to bump it up on top.

So I am unsure if I should be mad at you or thank you. I think I will go with thanking you as life is simply too short to be angry all the time.

I get offers of money all the time from people to provide trading signals. While I have considered several I ended up turning all of them down. Yes it would be easy money but as I could not figure out a way to do it in a way that was giving my very best and trading my very best. As a result I have not felt it would be fair to someone paying.

I have been an entrepreneur my whole life. I sold a successful importing / exporting company so that I could spend more time home with my children. At 40 years old it took a long time to be able to do what I wanted to do instead of what I needed to do but I made it.

My wife has a ritual that we go through everyday at dinner time where she says "whats your best and worst today" where each of us say the best thing and the worst thing of the day. There were many Weekend days in a row right after I sold the company where my older son (6 yrs old) said the best thing of the day for him was that "Dad stayed at home today and didn't go to work". That all by itself let me know I made the right choice in getting out of business and its never ending list of things that need to be done. I have no desire to run a paid chat room (or any other business) and those that know me (even casually in the chat) know that to be true.

I like ET and think its a great one of a kind resource for all kinds of people and traders. Especially the people just starting out trying to get answers. I spend my time sharing what I have learned and try to help others. Even this weekend I answered some questions from someone who wanted to know if they could even trade being under 18. I responded that I did and told them what I believe will help. Thats what ET REALLY is about. Being able to get information in a quick way.

Its a nice day outside so I hope you get a chance to get outside and enjoy it.

    RW

  3. I watched closely the pre market trading of RHT my Friday carry over.

While RHT did trade higher in premarket it didnt take long after the bell for it to fall back down and I was able to cover for a nice gain.

The Indian stock market had a great day last night after the election results.. Indian stocks here where sure where having a great day as expected. I ended up trading IBN and TTM and doing ok with them.

Last stock that came up was DDS which I shorted seconds before the close to carry over to tomorrow.

    RHT + 774

    TTM B6, + 720

    IBN DS, + 225

  6. we are so lucky that spelling doesn't count.

had one of those days... i have a definite opinion on CRE and paid for it today. passed on GMXR, ROSE & IBOC... lost opps are easier to make up than losses, but i had both today.

    good luck RW! :p

  7. Hello jack8031,

You are wrong! I am not a 'moran' and I am not a 'loosers':D
But If it make you happy, I don't mind be the "moron" and let you be the "genius".
I don't mind be the 'loser" and let you be the"winner" in this forum.:D
Robert is a gentleman and you should learn from him! Especially learn how to spell 'moron' and 'loser"!
    :D

Hope you have a good day!

  8. Hello QQQ,

I am SOOO glad we have spell checking in the world now.

I know what you mean about having an opinion on a stock. We have to have one to make any money but when we are dead wrong it sure doesnt feel good.

    Best to you sir.

    Robert

  9. My small carry over from yesterday with DDS worked out ok.

I did expect to get more out of DDS but it found support and I found the exit. It appears the timing was good too as I covered within a few pennies of the LOD

The rest of the day was interesting as several stocks really caught on fire. With the bigger priced symbols I stayed small and kept my spread wide and that paid off. ASIA on the other hand was expected to be a lot more profitable than it turned out to be. ASIA was qualified to be kept overnight but with about 10 mins of trading left I closed out for a small gain.

I traded SYDA several times today and each time it smiled at me. The end result was a very nice gain at the end of the day.

    DDS + 80

    SYDA + 1729

    GIL + 1377

    ASIA + 270

    + 3458 Day
    + 5179 Week
    - 11759 Month

  10. Started out the day flat but that didn’t last long.

Gold was up strongly today and that brought the mining stocks to higher levels. Too high at times in fact as it gave me some nice shorts. I kept my share size small as I was getting a lot of signals very early on and didn’t want to be caught without enough buying power. One of the problems with having a retail account even with portfolio margin is I max out my buying power at about 5 x net asset value. I only used a total of about 1.2 of my total NAV so I was in great shape the whole day but today could have been much better.

ASIA moved up above yesterdays highs and I started to fade the move higher. Not having a break yesterday from its move upwards gave me the green light to see if it would break today. turned into a good trade.

    Holding short UHS overnight.

    ASIA DS, + 403

    GG B6, + 308

    NEM + 149

    DISCA + 802

    CNX + 152

    RS + 808

    UHS + 87

    CYH + 186

    + 2899 Day
    + 8078 Week
    - 8860 Month
