Those tickets are going to cost you an arm and leg, but you never know, the economy is bad, and Vegas is slow right now.

I got 2 center floor seats to Elton John and Billy Joel concert for near face value from Ebay.

  3. As a trader, dont you find it really difficult to buy at someone else's price (the "ask") for those tickets? haha. Just a thought I sometimes I have when I'm on Ebay or Ticketmaster looking for tickets myself. Just a different type of market! But, if you have the $ and its worth it to you, then you probably should I suppose. Congrats on an amazing week, btw!

  4. Red ink all over Wall St. today.

I did manage to make a few bucks today but I was able to spend some time on my trip report to Disney which I hate doing so you know it was a boring trading day for me. With today only two days left in the month and I was hoping to be in the 3-4K range today for gains. I didn’t even come close but for nothing going on it was still a pretty good day.

I been watching BYD for a while and was really impressed with the company in relation to the price of the stock. I feel that while the company is in tough shape but not as bad as the stock price would suggest. With their attempted buying of part of the station casino it shows that management believes that adding on more would be a net positive. I put on a very small posistion but willing to add to it if the stock price shows weakness.

Short 10 BYD May 2.5 puts @ 20 cents each.

I scalped the SPY a small amount today and that went ok. + 169

RNT is a slow moving stock that provided the only real trading today. I didn’t make as much of a gain as I would have liked but as a non qual trade it was pretty good.

    RNT H (non qual) + 550

    IDCC DS, + 342

    + 1062 Day

  5. Hello NoDoji,

haha, thanks it very nice of you to say so !!

The market really was giving a lot last week and I just hope that we get some more of that kind of volatility.

  7. I know what you mean. I been looking on all the major sites for tickets and most of them want to sell at least two tickets.

I did find a VIP ticket site that will sell them one at a time. Looks like if I go thats what I will do.

Here is my goal. IF I can make over 10K this week I will give myself 'permission' to buy the ticket etc...

If I cant make at least that much I will for sure not go.

So Friday after the close I will know if I will be going or at least if I will consider going.

  8. Hello Builder,

    YES YES YES !!

Actually its even worse as I was an importer of products from China before changing to a full time trader.

Buying things for $100 and knowing that I could buy it for about $15 in china changes how you buy anything and often ruins the buying experience because you KNOW how much it would cost somewhere else.

also, and not of least thanks for the kind words. It was a blast of a week in trading even though I didn't feel well.

I gave myself a challenge this week. If I can make over 10K I will give myself permission to go to the concert (still may or may not go) but if I dont make at least that much I for sure will not go.

    Best to you

  9. Having trouble deciding if I really want to pay so much to go to the Fleetwood Mac concert I decided to give myself a challenge.

Surprisingly (or maybe not as my wife knows I really like Stevie Nicks) my wife has not spoken against me going to the Fleetwood Mac concert even though it would cost a lot to go.

So the last few days I been struggling with wanting to go and not feeling so good about the costs. I spent a lot of time going over the tickets at different websites and I found what I wanted. Next thing was justifying the cost to myself. Perhaps this is a primary reason my wife doesn’t say much about what I spend money on as I never spend anything(very little actually) on myself.

Expecting to take a loss for the month of March I knew that I would have to make at least that much back. As a result of this mathmatical problem I cam up with a challenge to myself so that I could at least for a while stop thinking about if I should go or not.

I decided that if I could not make at least 10K in gains this week I would for sure not go. If I am able to make 10K for the week then I would give myself permission to go but I would still have to decide.

Its now Tuesday as I write this and Monday I did not pull my average needed of $2K for the day as I only made a bit over 1K. I have made some nice trades today so I am further along but Friday is still a long way off.

    wish me luck
