  2. Hey RW... remember... a year earlier I used to be regular with you and nodoji in chatroom... you inspired me to hold longer and anticipate larger moves.

    I am very sure you will come back with a bang :)

    Bob, I wish you good luck in whatever you do. If you come back to trading do yourself a favor and have a plan instead of doing the "admiration" stuff. Trading is about a plan, strategies, tactics. Trying to be a nice guy is a waste of time, trading is about taking the other guys wallet.

    I think you were confused between being just an average Joe trader and having visions of a website paid customers deal. You were trying to be the end all to many folks. If you come back just be content to be a trader first and save the other stuff for later, if at all.

    Just trying to help. Good luck

  4. As a regular in Bob's chat room, I think it was always about having a good group of folks exchanging ideas. I don't think Bob is after admiration - if anything I think his journal and chat room are probably to help with keeping track and not trading in a vacuum.

    I believe that a chat room of peers who grow together can be an important way to improve.

  5. Website? I've been in Bob's room and never once got the inclination that he had any interest in a website. My guess is that you're full-on projecting here.

    What douchebaggery.

    typo error huh? should be 1950 :D

    tiger ~"HU" (in mandarin) ~sign of Courage-they cannot pass up a challenge.

    5 chinese elements of metal, water, wood, fire, and earth.

    2010 ~ metal tiger
    1998 ~ earth tiger
    1986 ~ fire tiger
    1974 ~ wood tiger
    1962 ~ water tiger
    1950 ~ metal tiger

    yeah ... according to the tibetan astrology, very bad year for the fulfillment of wishes ..but for trader- the year of the tiger- fiery volatile-which is good for us because we don't "wishes" we strive hard to made it happen to hit our target. :D

  7. Throwing salt over the left shoulder while trading never fails to make wishes come true. Tibetan monks carry that in their bag along with a flute to calm the demons. If they don't calm down you can hit them with the flute.

  9. No good trades today

    Challenging day no signals all discretionary trades.
    CLF + 9
    FSYS – 2456
    INTU + 15
    SII + 4

    FSYS went wrong from the word go and I just closed everything else out to flatten out. FSYS went lower as the day went on and I was glad that I exited before it went down further as the loss could have been much worse. For a stock that has a huge short interest as of the last reporting day and improved guidance along with a fair PE it sure went down hard today. I did think about selling calls and turning it into a swing trade but I didn’t feel that was a good idea in light of it not starting out that way. I did go flat with it several times today and it would show some strength and I went long only to have it fall back down again and I stopped out. This happened several times and while that part might have been fine the first entry into the stock went poorly and was the cause of the bulk of the loss.
    I sold 2 feb 30 calls that also expired today with FSYS. + 8

    I am taking Monday off at least in the morning as I attend to some other things. This will be my first time in a long time but I think I am due for an opening bell without me.

  10. Hi Prop,

    Thanks and very interesting. I guess I picked the title for the flow of words but I think your point is valid on all of them.

    Monday I am taking off the morning and maybe the whole day. I was planning on taking yesterday and today off but had a change of appointments.

    Either way I am do for a break. Not enough sleep and not enough time for the family and the only surprising thing is I am actually doing very well in school despite a lack of attention and other things as well.

    I have a pile of trading books I want to read and automation I want to do and taking a break will help me regroup.

    ~~~~~ or Sam or whatever the handle is has actually seen me work years ago. I don't like taking breaks and taking days off. Its not in my nature. But like a fly hitting a window trying to get outside it doesn't matter how much effort I put in if I don't stop and see that the door is open three feet away and I can simply change course and fly right on out.
    Have a great weekend
    Robert
