It's amazing the number of people who would rather have a drug prescribed than change their lifestyle.
Long article about the history of Wegovy and its effects on other stocks: https://investmenttakes.substack.com/p/pricing-in-the-end-of-obesity
You'll lose muscle mass on any diet. Being on Wegovy is no different. That's why you've got to do resistance training and keep your protein intake a little higher than normal if you're going to be on it.
Common sense and cow sense will tell you the new Obesity drug is totally useless unless you cut down your food intake, and do daily exercise. If you eat 5kg of food and the new Obesity drug every day, you will simply get even more obese. You might end up heavier than an adult hippo or rhino. Just look at how skinny those World War 2 POWs were. So it is 1000% possible to be skinny. If you have $$$, you'd end up buying more food and more drugs. If you have no $$$$, you can't buy food. And You can't afford to buy those drugs. And you will end up extremely thin. And you might even starve yourself to death. Simply solve the non-rocket science problem with a non-rocket science solution. Don't use scientific solutions. just use common and cow sense. The more drugs you take, the more harm it will do to your body. Always remember all drugs have side effects.
That's what the drug accomplishes. You simply can't eat as much as you used to before you started taking it. Even if you tried to eat a huge meal on it, you'd be so nauseous you couldn't even finish it. And even if you could finish it, you would have no desire to eat again for at least the next 24 hours.
True. But I think drugs of any kind should be avoided to the extent possible. Lifestyle adjustments, even if necessarily extreme, should be exhausted before considering pharmaceutical intervention.
So the bottom line is what has been the usual advice for decades..."Eat less and exercise". So easy a caveman can do it, paleo diet notwithstanding.
Except that without exercise, there will most assuredly be loss of lean body mass. This will then set the user up for failure because of the commensurate drop in metabolism.
