Oh. But the .pdf file mentions VXST options....well, this was anti-climatic. No fun (or use) without options.
The b/a spreads on these are ridiculous. CBOE seems insistent on killing all their products from the get-go with these ridiculous market makers they employ.
I can't even see/trade this product. Not supported until June by Redi. TOS doesn't offer either. Too bad, it has a lot of potential.
Well, it's available on IB, but looking at historical data the b/a spread seems all over the place. For March 11, 1hr after open today it was 1.00 point wide, but now it's only 0.5pt wide which is an improvement. Yesterday it reached 1.5, the bid at 15.9 and ask at 17.4. Also volume seems to be in proportion with the b/a spreads, lower spreads and there's def some more volume. The feb 25 contract had tight spreads lot of times (13.4-13.5) and there's loads of volume there especially last day before expiry, about 100 contracts that day. CBOE needs to supply better liquidity, where there's a supply there will be demand, however they seem unable to understand this. Of course people wont trade a product if they're forced to give up one and a half vol pts in edge just to enter a trade....
i eternally hold hope for cfe new products also..maybe when options show up we will get some activity.
