Yesterday was the lightest volume of 2010 so maybe people are on vacation or just have given up all together on this crazy market.
FUTURES *S&P FUT 1113.09 -6.60 -0.58% *DOW FUT 10560.00 -58.00 -0.54% *NAS FUT 1884.25 -12.25 -0.64% Futures sinking tonight, I guess people went back to read over that terrific fed statement by bubble ben bernanke and how he will do anything to prop up the economy. I do have that feeling though that they may push the futures to uneven and maybe even positive by the early morning hours.
Futures down significantly this morning, I thought they would get the old prop job. Not to worry, Friday a worse than expected jobs number and the market after being down 125 points rallies back, Monday markets erase all of Fridays losses, Tuesday markets again sell off in the morning hours only to nearly erase every loss after bubble ben bernanke used more magic tricks, by yesterday afternoon markets off a bit at the close. Today more downside but I think at one point during the day they will prop it once again as they have done constantly over the last few days.
Markets are reacting to yesterdays Fed meeting. This could bring the SPY down to it's 50 day this week
SPY, QQQQ, XLE, XLF are all below 200 dma. so much for the break-out... so much for Aug doldrums as well....
. She got people by "surprise". I wish I held to the over leveraged short EUR/USD. It tanked today. I recall your asking how to play the long dollar? If you got in, you must be laughing to the bank. A special mention to Piezo. I have not seen him, but he nailed the bottom of the dollar move.
Shortie: What do you think of USD/JPY ? I just bought 25K at 85.25 area. I bought for a quick profit, but the daily is still pressuring it down.
dollar really shot up from where i wanted to buy it a few days ago. too bad i did not have any money. i would not buy the dollar now that it reversed. i would have exited my long trade since i am very impatient and take small profits. by dollar i mean UUP ETF, i don't know anything about JPY
Futures being pushed higher throughout the last few hours. Futures Way off their lows, could actually see stocks open lower and reverse to move higher but that all depends on tomorrows weekly jobs report.
