He got it done though didn't he? Results. I like results. There's buildings around the world with his name emblazoned on them. And a jet. And a helicopter.

He knows when to cut his losses and move on. Sign of a winner imo.

He's no boy-scout thats for sure. His policies aside, I agree... Obama did have class imo. He was a good dad and a good husband. But Trump's not Obama. Just like he's not Nixon, JFK, Teddy Roosevelt, etc etc. He's Trump. He is who he is. A womanizer yes. A liar.... probably. Stretches the truth... big deal. But he's the president and its an ugly world out there. We don't need a boy-scout.... we need a patriot with some patriotic gangster swag imo. Get the job done and don't take sh*t from anybody. MAGA :D

Born with a silver spoon without an ounce of conscience does help. Even his buildings are trying to get rid of his name

It's easy to gamble with other people's money and then move on.

What is patriotism? An abstract idea? It's about the people right? If you scam them, insult them, punish them for your own selfish gratification, are you still a patriot?

  3. Yeah, he had the foresight to have a rich and generous dad, and he frequently dealt with underworld types because his businesses were not doing all that well. So much winning.

He did have a "silver spoon", but he didn't just lay down and rot with a good life like so many do.
Whether you like him or not...you have to admire his energy to constantly make things happen around him. I do. Something inside him works that only a small percentage of people possess.

  6. No, in fact, I do not. If it were not for his winning the rich parent lottery, you likely never would have heard of him.

“Well, very simply, you have to get everybody in a room. You have to be a leader. The president has to lead. He’s got to get the Speaker of the House and everybody else in a room, and they have to make a deal. You have to be nice, and be angry, and be wild, and cajole, and do all sorts of things. But you have to get a deal.”

    — Donald Trump, on Fox News during the government shutdown in 2013.

Yes, he decided to scam others for his own failures unlike others with shame who take their failures honorably. It's the reverse harakiri.

    What a role model indeed.

He must have many successes too don't ya think? Not too many failures can convert a post office into a 5 star hotel in DC. Impressive.

Not at all, buying up prime government real estate on the cheap and refurbishing or rebuilding it to look like every other building doesn't take talent at all considering it was his family business and got an easy start.

Starting from the bottom and building a business that has long term value is what I would consider a success, good businessman don't have to diversify into running petty scams like this guy. If you are so good at buildings, what's the point of a scam university?
