Web site with premarket gap info?

Discussion in 'Trading Software' started by bundlemaker, Mar 25, 2002.

  1. I'm finding Q charts to be just fine...except no premarket gap list. Anyone know of a website (preferably free) that does this?

    Thanks in advance$

You should be able to scan for premarket gaps using Stock Watch Pro (it's a QCharts add-on). The scanner formulas will look something like this:

    1 point gap-up: Bid > Bar[Close,D,1] + 1
    1% gap-down: Bid < Bar[Close,D,1] * .99
    1 point gap-up: Ask > Bar[Close,D,1] + 1
    1% gap-down: Ask < Bar[Close,D,1] *.99

For the nasdaq 100 stocks, you will find there a list with premarket trade information (which are summarized in a comprehensive heatmap)
You may as well click on the percent change (vs yesterday market 16.00 close) column to rank the stocks according to the biggest gap...
