I guessed you missed where he is using a fictional sci-fi show to back his argument:

    http://globalpublicsquare.blogs.cnn...an-calls-for-space-aliens-to-fix-u-s-economy/

"Ken Rogoff: And we need Orson Welles, is what you're saying.

Paul Krugman: No, there was a Twilight Zone episode like this in which scientists fake an alien threat in order to achieve world peace. Well, this time...we need it in order to get some fiscal stimulus."

    Sci-fi policy.

It's a thought experiment, like the article mentions. How do you think about things, in a box?

I believe he should use sound, viable theories, not Rod Serling's version. Apparently he took the Science part of his Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences award a little too seriously.

What a person earns belongs to him; not to the thugs in D.C.
However, the USA is not a level playing field for all its citizens.

Unless it's a illegal means of earning it, right?

You'd have to read the rest of the article to determine if he did, or did not, make a sound argument. Get back to me when you have.

Ricci, I'm a bit leary of what you term as "illegal".

And you are rightfully so. Legal/illegal are man-made.
