    Exactly. A budget [spending plan] helps a lot.Actually counting compounding, anyone can save much more than 100%, over time - unless one does all the savings @ a bank account.In that case,may not even save 100% @ all. LOL:cool::cool:, :cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool:

    The key is to spend more on things that appreciate and less on things that depreciate. Most people do the opposite of this.

    Not really. Your original point was valid. Just ask all the professional athletes who make millions and millions of dollars, yet end up destitute. It doesn't matter how much you make if you spend it all. But if you make a modest amount and save judiciously, you can end up with quite a comfortable retirement.
