America can not afford to build more prisons and if it did find more money to do such...it would be at the expense of taxpayer dollars as in more taxes.

I vote to build the next new prison in Butler, Pennsylvania where they tried to kill a former President of the United States...punish them because the local law enforcement failed along with the Secret Service failed too in protecting our former U.S. Presidents.

Trying to kill a former President is a bigger deal than juvenile looters stealing merchandise built in a foreign country like China and then sold here in the United States...right ???

The next new prison should be built a few blocks away from where you live. If there isn't any available space for a new prison near you...

The government should tear down the homes, apartment buildings, and businesses to make room for the new prison. Those that are in your neighborhood that are upset and then riot about what the government is doing to their neighborhood to build that new prison...arrest them and send those rioters from your neighborhood to the new prison that you requested as a deterrent to rioters & looting.

Further, give long prison sentences to any police officer who kills anyone in your neighborhood with a knee on the necks of your neighbors. Next, send those police officers to the new prison that you requested as a deterrent to police brutality considering you'll be very angry at what the police did to your neighbors, a friend from school, or maybe a knee on the neck of someone in your family until they're dead after crying for their mother.

It's very simple, for those who want new prisons...the government should make them pay for it by increasing their state taxes, gas taxes, and store taxes. I believe in a few years...you'll have a new prison in your neighborhood. It will be a win win situation for the businesses in your community too because new rehabilitation centers will also be built that will bring more employment for residents in your community. :D

As a kid, I remember when our town voted to build a new school in Kentucky...we voted it was OK to increase our local taxes to get that new school built because our community had grown so much that we could afford it...more taxpayer dollars. My point, it's the same principle.

Good luck and please let us know what your neighbors said about building a new prison in your neighborhood...yeah or nay.

In the old days, before the 1900s, they would have been shot or hanged regardless of how ridiculous their attempt to overthrow the vote of the people was.

The only exception was at the end of the civil war...

Confederate soldiers of all ranks were generally paroled and faced no formal charges of treason. Northerners took a pragmatic approach to the war's end.

Simply, they were forgiven as a way help heal America with no further punishment to the South.

China and Russia will take what they want, while we poison ourselves with media lies.
Power to the people, because our leaders disowned us thirty years ago.

You mean the George Floyd rioters obviously. None of the Capital protestors that actually entered the capital had guns on them. How were they going to overthrow the government????? The power of persuasion???

Fact check: RFK Jr. repeats, and then retracts, long-debunked claim that January 6 rioters ‘carried no weapons’

By Daniel Dale and Marshall Cohen, CNN
    5 minute read
Published 9:00 PM EDT, Fri April 5, 2024

In a formal written statement on Friday, independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. repeated the wildly inaccurate claim that the participants in the January 6, 2021, riot at the US Capitol “carried no weapons” – and then, three hours later, said he was retracting the claim because he had learned he was incorrect.

The claim that all of the January 6 rioters were unarmed has been made repeatedly by former President Donald Trump – and repeatedly debunked. But Kennedy nonetheless deployed the claim in the Friday statement that his campaign said was intended to “clarify his views on the events of January 6, 2021” in the wake of his campaign’s controversial comments, in fundraising emails earlier this week, that appeared to downplay the actions of some of the rioters.

After CNN asked the campaign for comment on Kennedy’s use of the false “carried no weapons” claim, and CNN and others published articles that called the claim false, Kennedy sent another statement saying he was wrong.

“My understanding that none of the January 6 rioters who invaded the Capitol were carrying firearms was incorrect,” Kennedy said in the follow-up statement. He noted that “several” rioters have been convicted of carrying firearms at the Capitol, while “others assaulted Capitol police with pepper spray, bludgeons, and other makeshift weapons.” He said, “This behavior is inexcusable.”

Facts First: The claim that January 6 rioters did not carry any weapons is not even close to true, as video footage showed that very day and as numerous court cases have further proven. People who illegally breached Capitol grounds during the riot were armed with a wide variety of weapons, including guns, stun guns, knives, batons, baseball bats, flagpoles and chemical sprays. The Justice Department said in its most recent update on Capitol riot cases that 122 of the people who have been charged in connection to the riot “have been charged with entering a restricted area with a dangerous or deadly weapon.”

    Kennedy’s Friday statements

Kennedy’s initial Friday statement also included a hodgepodge of other claims about January 6, ranging from debatable to inaccurate, that have been promoted by Trump and other right-wing figures.

Kennedy issued the statement the day after his campaign tried to distance itself from its own fundraising emails that referred to people accused of participating in the 2021 riot as “activists” who have been “stripped of their constitutional liberties.” Kennedy campaign spokesperson Stefanie Spear claimed that language was “an error” by a “new marketing contractor” that didn’t reflect Kennedy’s actual views.

In the Friday statement, Kennedy said that “it is quite clear that many of the January 6 protestors broke the law in what may have started as a protest but turned into a riot.” But he also pledged that, as president, he would appoint a special counsel “to investigate whether prosecutorial discretion was abused for political ends in this case.” And he said this: “I have not examined the evidence in detail, but reasonable people, including Trump opponents, tell me there is little evidence of a true insurrection. They observe that the protestors carried no weapons, had no plans or ability to seize the reins of government, and that Trump himself had urged them to protest ‘peacefully.’”

About three hours later, Kennedy took back the “carried no weapons” claim. He added in the retraction statement: “I have never minimized or dismissed the seriousness of the riot or any crime committed on that day.”

Numerous January 6 rioters carried weapons

Special expertise on January 6 evidence was not necessary to know the “carried no weapons” claim is false.

Since early 2021, it has been clear from video footage that there were a variety of weapons in the crowd on Capitol grounds during the riot. Prosecutors have since obtained convictions against rioters who carried everything from a tomahawk ax to a hockey stick.

And while it is possible that most rioters were unarmed – we will likely never get a complete inventory of any concealed weapons carried by the many rioters who were permitted to go home without being searched – it has been proven in court that at least some of the rioters carried guns.

Mark Mazza of Indiana brought two loaded handguns onto Capitol grounds on January 6; he was sentenced to 5 years in prison after pleading guilty to carrying a pistol without a license and to assaulting an officer with a dangerous weapon (a baton). Another rioter who was armed with a gun on January 6, Guy Reffitt of Texas, was sentenced to more than 7 years in prison after a jury convicted him on multiple charges, including entering and remaining on restricted Capitol grounds with a firearm.

Christopher Alberts of Maryland, who had a pistol during the riot, was found guilty on multiple charges, including illegally possessing the gun on Capitol grounds, and was sentenced to 7 years in prison. Jerod Thomas Bargar of Missouri pleaded guilty to entering and remaining on restricted Capitol grounds on January 6 with a pistol and received probation.

In addition, Mark Ibrahim, who was an off-duty special agent for the Drug Enforcement Administration at the time of the riot, has been charged with crimes including carrying a firearm on Capitol grounds on January 6; he has pleaded not guilty. And just last month, John Banuelos of Illinois was charged for allegedly twice firing a pistol in the air after having illegally entered Capitol grounds; his case, too, is unresolved.

Typical liberal bullshit. Technically a paper clip and rubber band could be considered a weapon. No guns went INSIDE the capital !!! Notice how the liberals worded the part about guns.. Capital protestors carried fire arms AT the capital building. Notice they didn't say IN the capital building. That is a fact. Big difference between AT and IN. Now go live your life.

Don't forget the initial response by these idiots that saw the insurrection on the Capitol...live on TV just like the rest of America and the World saw it live...

Those idiot deniers swore on their mother's grave including several congressional members from Wisconsin that it was NOT a riot but a peaceful tour of the Capitol.

Something else, some were "looters" too by stealing documents and political items from within the Capitol building and from the offices of many congressional members. Simply, anyone who breaks into the office of a congressional member and then steals items from that office...is no different than a juvenile who loots from the local Walmart.

Many congressional members (Republicans and Democrats), law enforcement and family members of Trump called it a "War Zone". while President Trump watched it unfold live on TV and did nothing while the crowd chanted "Hang Mike Pence".

It's not surprising that Ivanka wants nothing to do with the bullshit lies by her father. She's staying far away from the White House if Donald Trump wins again...that's very telling.

Yeah, we all know if Trump becomes President again he'll throw out the criminal case against him about January 6th 2021 but it will not change history...it will not change his legacy about January 6th 2021 because America and the World saw what Trump did.

We witness it unfold live on TV.

Capitol rioter who was armed with gun on Jan. 6 found guilty on all charges
Christopher Alberts had a gun on his hip when he charged up the stairs of the Capitol on Jan. 6, and he later yelled at police officers before he was arrested.

He's another lost and confused soul...mixed up in his head like Thomas Matthew Crooks who believed the BIG LIES too by the former President and then one day he will see the truth...he'll be disgusted to then do something stupid with his new AR-15 (e.g. try to assassinate a former U.S. President) in a peaceful rural community.
