We Need School Security - Not Gun Control

Discussion in 'Politics' started by pspr, Dec 19, 2012.

  1. Good idea to lock those doors, but problematic with all the comings and goings, Could probably be worked out.
What we need are some well trained, very well trained, visably armed security in every school. Will it be expensive? Damn right it will. Ask those parents how much they'd be willing to pay? Anything would be the answer. Where does the money come from? Let's quit trying to save the entire god damn world and start saving ourselves. Plenty of money avaibable if we do just that.

  2. If there is a big penalty for having these weapons, then most citizens would hand them in, perhaps even Adam Lanza's mother would have.

Right. His proposal is over the top. Someone here needs to read the Constitution and learn and understand America.

  7. So you want to go straight to confiscation?

You'll have a full scale insurrection on your hands. Of course, liberals would like that so they could really clamp down hard.

This is why there is no point to debating this issue. No matter what they claim, what liberals really want is gun confiscation. This guy is just more honest than most. Any compromise is just a step toward that.

This whacked out kid could have done at least as much damage with a shotgun, maybe more since some of the teachers apparently thought it was a good idea for the kids to huddle together in the corner. I'm not blaming the teachers. They hadn't been trained, but hey wuld have been better off to tell the kids to run like Jason was after them.

So are you going to ban shotguns too?

  8. This "ban guns" BS is a mini version of 9/11.

A few thousand people (out of 300 million) get killed by some wackos... and we end up with the Patriot Act and Homeland Security... and the cherry on top, ODUMBO... America's version of Hitler.

Now we want to ban guns because 26 innocents were killed by another wacko.

Life has hazards. And we can't protect ourselves from all of them by bending over, grabbing our ankles and handing the government our bar of soap.

It occurred to me, all these liberal politicians sell a delusional fantasy of the "perfect world", contingent on more Government power. The idiots buy into the delusion and vote their rights away.

That's what 99% of liberals are about - they bought into this utopian bullshit idea that life will be somehow perfect if Government is given enough power to run the Country according to this fantasy world that will never exist.

A favorite liberal delusion - all violence can end someday.

This is complete horseshit. Unless we do a Gattaca scenario, violence has always been, and will always be part of the human race. It will never change. Get it through your fucking stupid heads. There are psychopathic criminals (many of whom end up in Government, btw) who are born without the capacity for empathy and enjoy hurting others. This idea that someday, when big brother has enough power to tell us? what we all should do, we can all sit around the table and smoke the peace pipe together, is complete horseshit. If that day ever comes, we'll all be in chains. You cannot legislate away human EVIL, deviancy, criminality or the desire to hurt other people. Those are genetic and SPIRITUAL problems.

The right sells delusion to their base, too. Instead of world peace bullshit fantasies, they sell these boogie men fear scenarios that appeal to their wanna-be warrior class, which constituents most of the republican base. "Al Queda", "Iran", "Saddam", "OBL". All these fucking boogie men that are somehow posed to destroy the United States any second UNLESS we go to war with everyone, right now!!!

It's completely infantile, stupidity. What's frightening, is most people believe it!

The real issues are never discussed. Instead, to get support, these fucking ass clowns we call "leaders" sell us their particular delusion, and we the voters pick our favorite delusion, amongst a variety of delusions. And then we all march toward this fantasy world that will never come to pass and wonder why our nation keeps getting poorer and we keep losing our rights.
