    Retail trader??

    WTFook are you talking about???

Retail trader?? What does that mean?? Iron chef also uses that term ..I dont get it..

Not too mention you are the one who labeled Simple and yourself as Amateurs..

For shits and giggles, what makes someone a professional trader??

Anything to do with making money??

  6. As with anything else, a professional is someone that is being paid for a service. Regardless of the service.

In trading, if you manage money from others and you are paid for it, you are a professional.

    You do know that.

Thats not the definition of professional I am familiar with.

    Let's phrase it another way..

Several posters on this board refer to themselves as retail traders..Dawn called himself an amateur..

    What is a retail trader..What is a " non retail " trader??

It appears that non retail means having worked at an IB or hedge fund, which would be closer to your definition of professional..But leaves out floor traders....

Seems to me the only thing that matters is if you can make enough money from trading to make it worth your time and effort..

  8. As far as I understand to be a floor trader you have to open a LLC first.

You would then be able to act as a market maker. You could choose to trade your own capital, but the fact that you are able to get paid by offering liquidity to the market makes you a professional.

Lol...I can see you have never traded on the floor..You dont get paid to provide liquidity, you are paid if you excel at your craft..

Which is true of anything in life

    " Retail" included

  10. Of course I have never traded on the floor. That is obvious.

    You haven't either. Also obvious.
