why? This is elitetrader. If you aren’t using technical analysis to trade your IB or FXCM account in your pajamas then you are a failure.

In the old days on ET, we had good representation from Prop firms (the Brights, etc.) in the forums plus some professional traders working directly firms. Those days appear to be over. A Careers sub-forum would be good for increasing participation from this cohort of people IMO.

    Career Progression

    1. Learn from professional writers and professional talkers - a few months

    2. Demo trade with hundreds of indicators on the charts - a few months

    3. decontaminate / cleanse your mind from the wrong teachings
from professional writers and professional talkers.
Also, remove hundreds of indicators from your chart - a few years/decades

    4. Develop your own holy grail.
Demo trade with no indicator on the chart - a few years/decades

    5. be a full-time professional trader - a few years/decades/infinity later

Trading should be the Career goal for everyone here.

And don't give me any Shit about I love my Job or I would never do trading full time. If you're good enough you could be earning Millions per day trading and only work a few hours a Week ... if you're good enough.

Forums are yesteryear, attention span required is too much to ask for long form sm posts. Most of what you describe is on twitter and discords.

The balkanization of the internet has become a reality.
