I have been profitable for 3 years in retail/prop world, higher education is BS!!!! Passion, education and drive is what you need.
Higher Education is what needed to become a successful career trader. Gamblers do not need higher education.
It takes more than attitute but your point is very well taken. A shitty attitute leads to shitty performance but with that being said, trading takes a highly sophisticated level of education and, above all else, talent. Trading is all I ever wanted to do. From the day I was a young, young boy I wanted to trade. I've heard many Doctors say that. If it's meant to be it will be. It's all about Karma. And to the 95% who have or will fail....the meaning of life has nothing to do with accumulating worldy riches. Anyone who is interested in finding the answer to this question (the meaning of life) need look no further than the works of the many Indian Gurus who have traveled through the physical world. For anyone who is interested in a life changing experience.....may your journey start here: http://soundcurrentrider.com/index.html
Majority of small traders or more than 90% are gamblers and lack higher education. They have this slogan in their mind: "YOU DON'T LEAVE 'TIL YOU LOSE EVERYTHING" Imagine if you are a mathematician, u will be like those MIT blackjack team making millions. That is what Higher Education can do for you. More than 90% of small traders lose. They just lose. Time to reload your account?
Emg, If you are so against one's ability to succeed as a trader, why are you here? It seems absolutely absurd to me to waste time on a trading forum telling everybody how impossible it is. You're a failure as a trader, so go away and get yourself a McJob.
The market is not a casino. That many hostile people say that it is one does not make it so. One's success as a trader depends on one's intuitive and learned understanding of market mechanisms.
