  2. There's a lot more involved than muttering "I accept Jesus." It cost Jesus a lot to go to the cross. He is the Son of God and suffered in anguish on our behalf. People relationships understand the need for reconciliation before a relationship can be restored. Likewise, God has pleaded with people to be reconciled to Himself. We sinned against Him, but He wants us back. If we don't want to go back to His rulership over us, then we are on our own and will be accountable for all that we did in this life.

If someone is going to obediently follow someone else, they are going to get used, conned!
    It's as simple as that.

  6. Two errors in your statement.
    1. This assumes that all who would lead another must be corrupt. However, there is ONE who is not corrupt and can be blindly trusted.
    2. There is nothing, as I understand it, in the Bible that requires blind obedience to God.....to qualify that, I mean that God gives us very good reasons to believe and follow Him. It is not blind faith or blind obedience. We do, at times, obey blindly in a circumstance or with faith, because we believers have come to KNOW WHOM WE HAVE BELIEVED!!

    Circular argument.
The bible which is the author of god doctrine, was written by corrupt man.

  9. And your sentence above was written by a corrupted man.
    However, GOD wrote the BIBLE.

    How do I know?
    1. The truth of our sin against God convicts our hearts so that we KNOW we have sinned against God. If you aren't convicted of your sin against God, then go read the Bible until you are. For thousands of years people have experienced conviction of sin after having read the Bible. However, how you respond to that conviction can lead to more understanding or more callousness to your sin.
    2. Bible prophesy.
    3. Experiencing God's work in my life and seeing Him work in others.
    4. The Bible is very accurate historically.
    5. PROOF that people did not write the Bible apart from God's direction: why would they come up with miracles if the miracles didn't happen? People really aren't likely to believe a miraculous story. If you want to con someone, use a story that doesn't defy the current laws of science. They wrote of miracles because the miracles happened. There are some instances recorded in the Bible when many people observed miracles together, so it's not like one nutcase came up with them all. Besides, the story of Noah and the flood bear similarities to many ancient flood stories, which makes sense only if ALL the people in the world descended from Noah.
