There's some argument for Vietnam I suppose which I'm sure is doing far better than quite a few American backed "capitalist" countries in Latin America.
Communism fails mostly in many countries not for obvious economic reasons, but because a dictator comes to power and rules like a dictator claiming to be benevolent and socialist. Stalin and Castro were not out to help their fellow country men and allow dissent, opposition, wealth outside of their inner circle, freedoms of the people, ability to vote etc.. They were dictators who killed anyone who stood against them and ruled by fear. The people were poor and starved while they were rich and lived a life of luxury. Same with Chavez and Pinochet and any other dictator of the past who claimed some great economic or social theory.... it was just money greed and power that always corrupts and you cannot hold on to that unless you rule like a tyrant.
As a child in Montreal, I distributed Far Leftist/Communist pamphlets. I initially did not know what it was I was selling(!) until someone asked if I had read it myself. I hadn’t, but when I did, I thought it was strange, but was not really bothered by it. At the time, anyway. I has handed these pamphlets by a man in his 20’s who was previously trying to sell/distribute them. If Biden and crew get in, it will be interesting to see how much effort they put into trying to bridge the current social divide. Obama’s greatest failing, and he had many, was to allienate many Americans. So much so, that 60,000,000 voters gave Trump a mulligan for the “Grab ‘em by the pussy” recording, among other things. A far as education, I have no college degree. However, my usually accurate perception of things is far more useful than someone who gets themselves tied up in an intellectual knot that causes them to not see the influence the Communists been having on the US political process. Whether they are called Communists, Socialists, or Socialist Democrats, they are the fastest growing larger party in the US. The Communists have been rapidly gaining in local and national political positions. Bernie Sanders supporters make up a large number of the rioters. On several occasions, I felt the unsolicited hate by certain early twenty somethings over the simpke act of saying “Hi” and or placing a fast food order. Others have noticed this as well. The Communists are behind at least part the organized rioting in the US and seem to be focused on gaining ever more political influence. If Biden gets elected, the Communists are likely to have a field day, at the expense of most Americans. So I ask you the question again: How do you really feel about Communism?
Why should generations that, in the present system, may never own a home, never be out of educational debt, that have precarious livelihoods, and precarious healthcare and precarious retirements NOT be attracted to alternate systems? Why should generations that cannot accumulate sufficient capital for any meaningful purpose BE supporters of capitalism?
It is the system that fails to provide to opportunity or a certain group of people that fail to take advantage of the opportunties the system provides? The Capitalistic system provides opportunities for anyone regardless of sex, race, religeous practices, or nationality. From Mrs. Carley Fiorina, former CEO of Hewlett Packard, Barrack Obama, 1st Black President of the United States, or Steve Jobs CEO of Apple, an adopted Arab who studied Zen Buddism. If you are willing to either work hard, use your creativity and innovate, or simply think things through more than others usually do you can find success through problem solving for others under Capitalism. For reference, compare the per capita standard of living between Capitalist countries and Socialist countries. In my case, I own a truck and work at my pleasure giving me plenty of opportunity for travel, trading, study of many subjects, and blogging. Imagine that. I can easily buy a house, even just using a part of my earnings power, but don’t care to. The system is the US makes it easy to do well financially, where a lightly educated truck driver can earn as much (Working full time) as many established attorneys and doctors. Many small business owners do the same. A system that relys on giving things to people who don’t contribute to that system will inevitably fail, if too many people don’t participate in productive activities, as in Communist systems. Freedom, whether financial or otherwise, is not free. It requires work, dedication, and the ability to think for one’s self. Which economic system do you prefer and why?
Interestingly, it is conservative (and liberal, though too few know it) working people who have lost so much--to the elite control of the economy (globalization, debt, immigration), to the elite's growing cultural disrespect of their core values (Hollywood, gender, marriage, religion), and to elite political non-representation (the hegemony of the coasts)--who no longer believe this and put Trump into office.
What moves the needle is voter enthusiasm. This is how you take the same number of biased believers on both sides (as last election cycle four years ago) and get them out to vote this cycle. With the riots the Democrats are just trying to get the vote out for Biden or whatever piece of meat they put on the plate for November. I agree this will backfire as Trumps base stays as enthused as ever, and even adds a few believers from the official and unofficial #walkaway and #blexit movements (and what Kanye is doing). As Trump's base will be less afraid to come out and vote this becomes more certain. The only way the Democrats can win is to steal it, hence the mail out/in ballots and all the shenanigans going with that.
Wait until the October surprise. The red flag October suprise, that is. I expect it to be so horrendous and most would never believe that the radical arm of Biden’s party would be behind it. It would not surprise me, no, I expect it, to see a mass casualty event involving protesters in a Central Northern swing state. After all, it’s the Communist thing to do.
You say this when Trump won the electoral vote, not the popular vote. You say this in light of the blue wave in 2018. You say this in light of the polls, even the one's from Fox. You say this in light of Republican politicians distancing themselves from Trump. On what factual basis do you have to say this?
You say this despite the electoral vote IS the American way (favoring voters who have deeper roots 8n the country ) despite the fact that the popular vote itself can be contested due to stealing and fraud. You say this despite the blue wave was induced by promises made in regards the Mooooller investigation, an almost two year hoax by the time the House was elected. Hence the House was elected on Democrat lies and their media allies constituting one version of stealing not to mention outright stealing of seats through fraud mostly in California. You say this not remembering how fraudulent polls were before the 2016 election and how there were more Never Trumpers then than now.
