The reason the US rose to power was due to a Democratic Capitalism of innovation and entrepreneurialism, NOT the Government running things. In the recent case of school lunches, the Government has gotten involved, prices have gone up, and students are unhappy. As a result, other students have stepped in, creating a sub-economy for lunches in the schools. Want to fix the economy? Get the Government out of the way. Heck, even SAT failing high school students know this.
They were taking lunches packed by parents and substituting them for what the government(Michelle) thought they should be eating. Have you had your freaking head in the sand for the last 3 years? How did you miss this story? Second of all, you are part of Obama's 47% moocher class, as such you shouldn't have any say on what any of these schools do.
It seems inconsistent to me to regulate school lunches this way, while they allow people to use food stamps to buy chips, soda, cookies etc.
