how much education do have to date? most community colleges to reduce expenses are hiring part timers, you can not live comfortably off that amount.

I agree. Working with older students is way better. Lecturing in a subject you're enthusiastic about is a nice job on the whole, I think. Pay's not great but the keeness and ability of the handful of students you get each year will make you feel good about yourself. Beats sitting in front of 2 monitors for hours every day.
