I had the same problem with GS. On such big news it is quite understandable that markets do not open completelly orderly. somebody gets a better fill, somebody worse (like me) - definitelly not the reason to bust trades...(GS now trades much lower...) p.s. i could not get my limit order filled - I had to take the risk and change it to market - then it went smooth...
The 9:33 one minute bar showed a range of open 23.13, high 23.67, low 21.00. close 21.04. I don't have the T&S, but it looks like it hit an airpocket and just dropped straight to 21. If you were trying to sell at market during this bar, you probably got a fair fill although it still sucks. Even then you did better than if you had gone limit at say, 23. You would still be holding.
Yeah, I assume there was an air pocket, but I want to see the prints and time & sales. I should have had an order in premarket.
