was today nasty for day trading?

i'm a day trader and i lost money today.

 

yes, the choppiness was crazy, some great moves but easy to get caught in bad positions

 

You have to rethink your method.

 

yeah, ouch... like green red green red red green red green

 

54pnt range in the ES regular hours...82pnts 24 hour session

What more can you ask for?


If this is nasty I dont ever want to be nice....

 

volitility is a double edge sword, it's what you make of it.

 

Today was bad. But I learned a few things.

 

As a trader, there are far worse things than learning a good lesson from being down. Now you are armed with what NOT to do (or at least an understanding) next time

 

Agreed - the last couple of weeks have been very good - lots of movement in both directions, great trading.

 

do not forget, 85% of ET posters/repliers lost money tuday with you.
