Warren’s pricey 2020 platform of Green New Deal, reparations, free childcare + more could top $100T

It doesn’t matter what the number is. Trump promised to balance the budget in 2 years and give everyone great healthcare.

This is what democrats are competing against. Their goal is to get to Trump, who will be in no position to say their policies are unrealistic.

Corey Booker will be promising free cable tv that Canada will pay for before the end of this.

  2. This past election showed that, although it happened often in the past, it is now more than acceptable to promise whatever you want as long as it gets your base riled up for the moment and when you actually got the job, you can tell the base "Fuck You" and lie and deflect.

    "No new taxes..."
    "You can keep your doctor..."
"Mexico will pay for the wall..."
    "winning...."

The difference between then and now is your promises can now be even more outlandish and ridiculous because people just want to chant a slogan. Bush Sr. got reamed for his tax quote. Obama's comment was the rallying call for conservatives to abolish Obama care. Trump? Where is the uproar or call out? Anne Coulter is the only one with a voice? That is sad.

The fact that it does not exists means there is a new playbook that we as voters caused ourselves. Watch the Dems make the same level of ridiculous promises. The problem is the Dems promises are all far left and do nothing to address real problems....

  3. The difference is that Trump was addressing a real and growing problem that voters were demanding a solution for. Of course, he(and Jared) managed to make it worse. Not many people are clamoring for the idiotic stuff Warren is offering.

  5. A growing sentiment among the alt right is, if we are going to lose our country anyway, we'll take the $1000. It's more than Trump is offering us.

  6. He was offering solutions that were backed by fake promises and fantasy. Warren is using the same playbook unfortunately but all it does is make people happy who were already going to vote for her if she was a candidate. Useless.

Trump went way overboard just to hear people chanting his name.

People wanted a wall and he stoked the immigrant fears and promised Mexico would pay for it.

He claimed he would have companies moving back to the U.S. to open plants and give them jobs -opposite keeps happening.

He promised no more deficits but his spending rivals Democrats.

All you have to do is figure out what promises get people wet and forget about having to deliver once you get the job.

I think that thousand dollar bill with Yang’s picture on it pretty much sums up where this election is going.

  8. No one ever asks where the money is coming from when the neo-cons want to start another war. It's only when it's something that could actually help us, like a wall or veteran's health care, that it's a big problem. Republicans seem to think we are not wise to that.
