Warren proposes 'corporate perjury' law related to industry-funded research

  1. I bet you're a real hit at parties.

Yours is the lazy man's out. Throw your hands up into the air and declare complete and utter defeat. Because then you don't have to do anything or stand for something.

  2. Tell me something which inspires hope. Does anyone see an economy that supports a DOW approaching 30K? Any foreign policy in place or being presented which will have the world singing kumbaya? Any program which will actually create jobs that pay a living wage? Any social policy which will challenge the abject stupidity of the SJW movement? Anyone on the political scene that even remotely resembles a true leader and not just a lesser of two evils? Anything, anything at all on the horizon which will bring meaningful and lasting change to the crumbling chaos in which we now accept as normal? Convince me I am wrong in my assessment? Facts please, hope ain't a plan.

  3. Have you considered a career as a motivational speaker?

  4. :D Keep away from all sharp objects. None the less, you can't dispute my observations with any viable alternatives. Don't kill the messenger, I just call'em as I see'em. We have serious problems in this country, and worldwide, and we spend endless time and money debating idiotic laws like who gets to take a piss and where. Should men be allowed to compete in women's sports? Which pronoun would someone like to be referred to today? Should 6 year olds be able to have a sex change? Should a country have a border? Is any government program actually free? Should equal opportunity guarantee equal outcomes? I keep saying it, a country just cannot be this fucking stupid and expect things to turn out well, and a government which passes laws to accommodate the whims of the insane will not provide the solution.

Ok looks like the captain is just being a cranky today. Everything is corrupt, no point in doing anything etc. etc.

Since corporations are people now they should be chargeable as an entity with perjury instead of having the Bone Spurs trick of going after persons working for them, endless fall guys.

    Simples.

  6. I think you're exaggerating to make a point. All generations have their seemingly insurmountable issues and challenges. The way through them is to take a stand. Do something. Or at least get out of the way of people who are willing to do so. Please put away your end-of-the-world placard.

  8. The world will go on, this nation as it is now will not, and before you jump to say good riddance, I will say be careful what you wish for especially with what the lunatics are presenting as an alternative.

  9. I don't disagree and will add this game has been played long before the orange man ever arrived on the scene. None the less I'm all for dismantling corrupt corporations, beginning with the financial institutions. They get away with murder holding the sword of Damocles over our heads with the threat of financial disaster if they are held to account.

Warren specialized in bankruptcy law and is good at the long game. She understands how corporate business uses laws to defeat people. If she gets this in here to protect scientific rigour the precedent of corporate perjury will spread.

    At least one benefit.

This no head on the snake to attack bullshit combined with a near endless appeals process needs bringing back in line. Perhaps I've seen too many boom bust cycles but I for one would like to see her get a shot.
