Were you accidentally helping to reinforce my point that being stupid is mainstream, or was it intentional?

I stand by my statement, until convinced otherwise of course, but i'm not at all sure that it means "most people are stupid." What else might it mean?

  3. Look at how many boneheads continue to support Drumpf no matter what.

  4. elite rules/herd mentality. Perhaps the reason I can't understand why Warren would lean left is because in my world everybody should be a shepherd with their own herd of sheep which they care for and hopefully profit from. In his big world all people are sheep and he is the shepherd. Just give them Big Macs and Cokes and they will make you happy.
to take it a little deeper it has to do with China converting from a making society to a consuming society.

  5. Just so you know, I'm not a republican. I believe all politicians are corrupt and part of a "club for members only". Isn't Donald the least "politician" of anybody left in the race? I think this political party crap is...well...CRAP! I have a feeling you want the Burn...he's just like Santa Claus...GIVE GIVE GIVE. How are we going to pay for it all? Oh...more and more DEBT!

  6. There's a lot of people (including myself) that became aware of all the political bullshit a long time ago and decided not to vote anymore. Many of these people are/were republican, but gave up on their party and secretly decided not to support a party...if someone asked...they said republican for obvious reasons. What these people want is someone that can actually do the job of president without playing self benefiting political games. Now they're coming out to vote for someone who is "one of us" and is also competent for the job. These are not the stupid people you speak of. I could care less about politics...I just want the job done well! So, I agree that most people are stupid, but not the people I'm talking about.

  8. Are we talking about most people are stupid at politics or just in general? I could go on and on about the flaws of human nature and that most people don't have the ability to think independently. I believe this is how I make a living in the markets. Maybe this will help...a small percentage of people are very aware.

fair enough. But please understand, I am not asserting that most people are innately stupid. Instead I would suggest that all of us can be swayed by peer pressure and crowd mentality to make stupid choices and decisions from time to time. That is to say, decisions that are neither logical or serve our interests. And because this behavior is innate, it can be described as 'mainstream.' Radical behavior, on the other hand is behavior that falls outside this common, eusocial behavioral mold. The more experienced in life and the better educated we are, in general, the better our judgement becomes. The less susceptible to ill-logic and bad decisions we become; yet because of our nature we can never overcome completely our innate tendencies, which are those of eusocial species -- we, the ants and the bees are among the few eusocial species on this planet.
