Bearice was not malicious. He was a weird guy but he never posted anything that was really mean, if anything he just seemed like a kid who was getting his jollies by spamming a forum with nonsense. Plus when he was banned he spent weeks Emailing baron and joe to get himself back in, he didnt seem to have the knowledge to figure out how to start posting again via proxy. He would always post things about how he was going to crush the entire world, but if anything it seemed cartoonish. Cold/C-kid on the other hand has been spamming the forum and sending out PM's about Joe for a long time and he is actually a psychopath, he has a history of actually posting violent angry stuff, and he actually started spamming the site with child porn already 1 time. Plus he has been spamming stuff about Joe to people via PM for months. He actually seems to have some sort of strange psychotic vendetta against Elite trader, where as Bearice really didnt appear to mean anyone any harm.
I am trying to type something out to express my shock and anger for getting such a PM but I cannot. I am just... numb! Needless to say, I hate pedos more than any type sick human beings. Talking about what would happen if I were to meet this guy would probably be inappropriate. I truly hope the FBI report does some good. He has been posting for a longer period (3 days) from what I can read in this thread, and by now he must have left some kind of a trace. If he was using proxies during that time he might have been cought on by some of the FBI proxy scanners - yes that can be done, hopefully the FBI has enough resources to do it. Also the fact is that these forcefully downloaded images, if found by a person who doesn't like you can send you straight to jail. It is not a joke. This puts a large number of users at risk simply by opening a PM or a thread. It's completely insane. This was one of the most disturbing images I had ever seen in my life. Are people still human? Please, admins, pursue this as much as possible. ps his username this time was "wine&dine" i think.
HAVE MERCY wined and dined hit me up with malice also. Come on now, that was just HORRIBLE. admins and FBI see my PM from wined and dined. HE/She got me by sending a PM under topic of FMR LLC, something I commented on in the stock forum under LNKD topic this am, so it was something I thought was legit.
Note for those trying to completely remove those files from your HD: A solution simpler than wiping and deep-formatting your HD is as follows. Find the cache folder of your browser. Make sure that those downloaded files are in it - or if you dont want to make sure (can't watch like i couldnt, because the file names were different), just clear the cache from within the browser. Make sure you slect "Everything" under the time period. If you cant find your cache folder, try googling for answers. Otherwise, you can use "Process Monitor" freeware tool and enable it only when you are downloading some/any image from the web via that browser. It will show you where they are being saved. In addition, you can use the tool "Search everything" (google first result), find all .jpg files, sort by date, and see which are there and at what paths. The point is to make sure those cached pictures (if they were cached) are deleted as files in the file system. Once you've established where the cache is and it's cleared (files are deleted) you need to establish which physical hard disk the partition the cache was on (ie "C:") is on. Then you need to fill all partitions on that HD full completely with data. If it's only one partition on HD and you have only several GB free, this should be fast. Copy any files (smaller files like mp3 are better) into a blank directory on the given parition until 0MB is free (ie C:\fillup). This needs to be done on all the partitions of that physical drive. Once all partitions are full (0 free space) you can delete all those files, and you're done. Note also you can copy between partitions, it doesn't matter where the files come from.
