Diverting attention from the actual perp. It's known that Cold had it in for Joe. Make it look like an offshore exploit and imitate a know whackjob. I and others believed it was Cold through one of his 100s of aliases.
How do we this not knowing how to do that isn't just a diversion?? Hey Fellas, I caught the actual perv!!! GET A ROPE!! Pace Picante Rennick out
It's simply not feasible over the duration of time we're looking at. Why would anyone (other than EMR) have a motivation to upload that stuff to ET by accessing his machine via remote? IOW, you would have to have a motive against ET and gain web-access to his physical machine. It's ludicrous to consider it. Even if so, why not simply use the "EMRGLOBAL" nick from the outset (if his machine was hacked)? Why all the re-directs in the first week of exploits? Also, to state the obvious, there would not be an IP-trace to SA, TX if the perp simply hacked his nick. It's inconceivable that you would unknowingly install a payload that would allow that kind of access.
So you're saying his motivation for posting porn is to divert attention from himself. Are you saying it's actually "cold" all along? Otherwise, I don't get what you're saying, because the best way to divert attention from himself is to simply have not done anything at all. We're running in circles here. Now let's assume I misunderstood you and that you actually do think EMR is EMR and not hijacked by cold. I also believe this. Once again, what motive would EMR have for doing what he has done? Note: I'm not asking what motive he would have to imitate cold, or to include "Joe" in his PMs. Knowing motivation would make a lot of sense. Perhaps there is something Joe or anyone associated with ET would not like to comment about, but is in fact a valid motivation. If there is such a thing, it would be nice to know. These are serious charges. On the other hand, he could simply be insane, or trying to get others interested in kiddie porn.
The latter. EMR used language to make it divert attention away from any other potential suspect. How many times in the past year has that Cold freak flooded ET with threads targeted at Joe-specifically? Motivation for posting child-porn? Who the fuck knows, but someone was motivated. The truth is the motivation doesn't lie with a desire to espouse the virtues of kiddie-porn, right? It's obviously the most vile content a sick mind could access in an effort to bring down a website. You'll have to ask the perp why he attempted to bring down ET. Which is more likely.... a remote exploit of EMR's nick and MACHINE, or that he ran exploits through proxies to attack Joe and then used his own nick at the end to embed the javascript exploit? Targeting Joe was a clever diversion, that's all. Cold/C-Kid had nothing to do with this. I don't see motivation as terribly relevant. The dude is disturbed.
Right, but still it would be good circumstantial evidence. The mods and authorities surely have enough of a case already, but you always hope that this evidence will be backed up by a cause/motivation. It would suck to accuse the wrong person. Highly unlikely at this point, but it wouldn't be nice.
Playing Devil's advocate: 1) His machine may have been hi-jacked by some spyware/malware: a) It harvests usernames/passwords on his machine when he types them. b) It specifically recognizes VBulletin-powered websites that are visited e.g. ET. c) It then logs in using username/password on all discovered VBulletin sites. d) It changes the password so the "real" user can no longer log in (easily verified by ET logs) and the account is now owned by the malware. e) It tries to run a number of exploits on said VBulletin site (in this case ET): e.g. Searching for sex related threads on the forum to post spam to. What I'm not clear on, since I didn't witness any of these events, are the circumstances surrounding the private messages. Did these messages link to the same place and did they come from different usernames registered on ET but from the same IP address as that belonging to EMRGLOBAL? If that is the case then there really isn't much of a defence that can be made.
Here's some more circumstantial evidence. Just today our resident DJ removed that pic (the one I posted) from his Facebook page. What a coincidence.
