BEST RECOMMENDATION IS save your money. Don't go. Futures class is better than the other classes offered by OTA but I cannot with any sense of integrity recommend it. $5,000 is too much and really your question is irrevelent. Do you think if you go to OTA and tell them that you read my post and I said the Futures class is worth ---------- that will will sell it to you for that?

These are your words (not mine):

    * As for the Futures class, I said that was the only class that seemed at least slightly worth the money.

    * The trainer was very good and the information was above par, er, for OTA's standards.

    * Read it again, I said "slightly worth the money".

    * BEST RECOMMENDATION IS save your money.

You do realize now why my question is very relevant because you went from saying yourself that something was "slightly worth the money" and then reversed direction after my questions to saying now that your best recommendation is save your money...implying its not worth any money. That's a change of opinion by the way.

I didn't make this up, those above are your own words and you can verify it via reviewing your messages.

By the way, you've made (a few) other positive comments about OTA along with all the negative commentary. If I mention the other positive commentary too, I'm sure you'll find a way to dismiss those other commentary you've made too (playful sarcasm). :D

    Hey wrbtrader:

    Frustrating isn’t it?

Remember the advice you gave me on this thread back in 10-20-11.:D :D

Oh you are trying so hard to make a credible argument but in reality making a total butthead out of yourself. Do you understand what slightly worth the money means? I never changed my position. So Mr. OTA, it is not my problem that your company sales are down, employees are leaving for better jobs and disheartened clients are all over the internet letting people know how horrible your service is.

So go ahead, if it makes you feel better, ask me again. I am sure that thousands of people are rolling on the floor laughing at your comments. No wonder OTA is falling so hard with someone like you as a representative!

This was one of my many rebuttals to you from last year. How many times do I have to explain this to you. Well Duh!

Congratulations. You have now earned the Duh award.

There was another of my rebuttals to "Mr. Duh" but he still doesn't get it and asks moronic questions. Now he is even multiplying himself with additional aliases and talking to himself. I guess his theory is that if you tell a lie enough times and multiply via multiple identities, perhaps some people will believe it.

But seriously, isn't it obvious that he is an OTA employee trying (desperately) to revise OTA's image.

By the way, a friend of mine got a call from someone in the OTA Orlando office. This guy who is supposed to be an "Educational Counselor" said (his own words ) that he never heard of Warren Buffet, did not know what Morningstar was and in discussing technical analysis described one strategy as "contact and resistance" Contact and resistance? LOL. The people in charge at OTA need to teach these guys "Support & Resistance" and get them to read some financial publications and at least google Warren Buffet and realize it is not Warren Beatty!

That’s why I have my doubts about you AM, Don’t you realize that by the time you get the news just about everybody else in the game has already acted on it.

Now why don’t you answer the mans question? How much should OTA charge for what they offer? Consider how much you have paid the market to learn on your own and having taken the course what would you consider a fair price?

Sure you can buy books but some learn better in a classroom environment. Is there any price at which you might admit the material presented is worth the money?

I kind of know the answer you’ll give so let me rephrase the question. What, in your opinion, would make any school or 5 days of training worth $5000 to you?

Would you pay $1000 per day to have a successful trader sit down with you for a week and show you how he trades? Would you pay $1000 to listen to presentations from 5 different well-known trading personalities?

Being a professional trader yourself, what would you teach and how much would you charge someone for a week of your valuable time?

You are doing a noble job of warning the general public about the poor education and aggressive sales tactics of OTA, now let us know what you would prefer to see in it’s place.

Oh yeah; Thanks for the award, I need to be reminded every so often that I'm not as smart as i think i am.:D

    Pretty much right on!

One thing though, Rob McNabb was the real deal, he was a fantastic intraday scalper, the best I have ever seen. His issue was a past dead legal issue that he was found not guilty of resurfaced in a new light and a different way, which had nothing to do with day trading education other than an embarrassment and a major distraction. In any case he was one fantastic teacher and trader and the trading world is not as wealthy without him teaching new traders how to scalp huge intraday money from the markets. Rob was the most caring passionate teacher.

As far as what's left: Sam Seiden: well, when he did teach classes almost everyday, back in 09 when the bull rally was well underway he kept saying (as well as most other OTA instructors) short the rallies short the rallies. I personally kept buying pullbacks and wondered how he was supposedly making any money then it dawned on me, he must be taking and hiding long positions, basically he was acting as news outlet or a market maker.

The just of it is OTA has always been expensive but Rob, Fernando and Mike where real great traders that cared and were truthful and today OTA has become a watered-down scam if not outright fraudulent. They really should be held accountable but then look what the SEC let Bernie Madoff do.

Stay far far away from OTA!
