I don't think many of us are holding our breath for a company officer willing to contact Don Bright for a "chat"....
...a HLV Trading company officer, that is... Just might be a little too much risk involved in that undertaking...
A gentleman who says he is the "V" in "HLV" trading (the others represent his daughters?).....showed up here in Vegas today. Nice enough guy, seems to have been around the industry for a while. Bob and I chatted with him for a while.... Says he is a customer of a broker dealer (I suggested that he point out who that is....I'll leave that up to them). I had to ask a couple of times what firm he was representing, but I give him credit for 'fessing up".... I want to thank whoever on ET mentioned my post about HLV. The "deal" pretty much speaks for itself. He says that there are plenty of people willing to trade with the type of deal he is offering.... I explained that I simply suggest that anyone getting involved with any Firm (especially if they put up any money whatsoever, and even if they don't)....do the normal checking...balance sheets, corporate structure, etc. "Charlie" says he is providing a service for those between "etrade" and a firm like BT. He may be right. Don
I think paying 1.25penny to 1penny per share is way too expensive for traders to pay, and i don't think they can find many serious profitable traders
Thanks Don for pointing out. The trap is for the newbie. WIth job market so tight and people looking for some way of income, newbie's see an attraction in this. And lot of people think that although risk this is a easier task to make money. (and there are lot of simple people inthis cunning world). my 2nd observation is that this firm is not offering any risk management features in their software. how would any one let use their account without training, risk management. That is a point to ponder.... SimSim
All good points, sim, Nana, Don... The sad part is that some of these types will be awash in cash about a year from now....all at the expense of those who didn't have the advantage of these forums on ET... Maybe "Charlie V" will begin? to post here on ET to clear up any questions regarding his new? endeavor...as a sponsor, of course... Now having the benefit of "chatting" with Bright Brothers, I wonder if Mr. "V" might be making a few modifications to the wording of his mostly one-sided trader agreement this weekend... Caveat-emptor!
I just wanted to repeat...that I respect Mr. V for coming to my office and chatting with Bob and I. I may have been a bit rough on him (not that he would care)...but at least he took the time to discuss business....much better than some of the other "spies" we've had here from some of the bigger firms. Sometimes I come off a little strong, and I really don't mean to. Don
The guy has lots of guts to walk into your office and discuss his business model. Who ever he/firm is, he is simply trying to target those that still want to trade but have little money (less than 3000) to put down. Yes it is a bigger risk to go there then to go to bright or echo, but the desperate are willing to do that.
Don, There's a snakeoil salesman greater than you. Not that I'm saying you are one. Trade-ya1 sees NOTHING with HLV Trading sleazy deal cuz he's probably trying to start his own prop shop. Look how he was ban trying to recruit on ET with such shady deals that most ET traders here wouldnt touch with a 10 foot pole! Some people! you go figure huh Don?
