  1. Interesting, you are personally attacking someone for supporting your own starting statement of this thread....

  2. Bombing Iran without any proper U.N. security council resolution that calls for specific military action against Iran (btw, I HATE the UN and everything it stands for.........they are one of the biggest globalist accomplices of death in many parts of the world) would be the REAL start of massive campaigns of terror against the west. By taking action against Iran without a properly formed coalition and UN "authorization", will really get the "common folk" in all the middle eastern countries to see the proof they need from their current manipulators (AQ, their own governments, Hamas, whoever) to themselves be willing to join the fight against the west once and for all---------big mistake!

This is the exact reason why I think we may end up seeing some preemptive military (non-UN certified) action within the next 6 to 12 months. This way the western leaders can continue the perception of dangerous middle easterners with their demonstrations (on TV news channels here about 30 minutes of every hour) and possible new terror attacks to support the western leaders military and strategic intentions.

From my view, the people of the middle east and the western countries citizens are all being played like a fiddle---------the current leaders from both sides are all in moves to expand their powers and influence, with the populations left manipulated sitting in the middle of all this mess.

Current government and terrorist leaders do only one thing with "excellence"--------- first, create problems for their citizens and then second, come in with the "solution". More forced dependence and continued manipulation-------how honorable.

Anyone remember the "evil empire" USSR. No missiles fired there, the system just went bankrupt.

Suppose Iran is taking a leaf out of the USSR economics book.

No point doing anything to Iran, if the people just want to be a bunch of Lemmings, on drugs and prostitution.

Iraq needs to self govern, and the indifference that persists in the surrounding countries will soon have the hunger to want that freedom.

With Iraq progressing, Iran is trying everything possible to derail its process.

The increasing rhetoric from the Iranians proves that their tactics are not working.

    Jimho, Iran has crap.

Iran is a different animal from Iraq. Iran knows it has the US by the balls and it knows it!!! Iran supplies a significant portion of our oil supplies----if they just reduce the amount of oil the US is able to buy from them or even stop it, it would be like a tsunami hitting the US economy!!!
Any war can threaten the supplies of oil and drive prices sky high!!! Why do you think the US is trying to calm Iraq because a full out civil war in Iraq will draw in Iran on the shiite side and Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, etc. on the sunnis side. If the oil facilities get damaged----oil prices would be sky high!!!

  6. Officially at least, the US has had a trade embargo on Iran since the hostage crisis. Any Iranian oil arriving on US shores is illegal. This is not to say that I believe the embargo is being enforced. There are often huge profits to be made busting sanctions...

Most Iranian oil goes to Asia. US mainly gets sweet crude from Nigeria and Venezuela. Nymex oil is priced as sweet crude.

May be we get a spike, like last hurricane season. But the US is not likely to underestimate any more hurricanes. Also that will be more emotional rather than for fundamental reasons.

Also Iran isn't maintaining its oil fields as it should, which will be to its detriment.

All in all, Iran can only self destruct now, so let it do so.

The prices of oil should only be a short term worry. US/West others are already heavy into Ethanol and have cranked up the programs to reduced its cost and make it a total susbsitute of oil. The real worry is a nation like Iran with a bomb, missiles and mullahs. Within 6 months, US missiles, stealth bombers and spec ops forces should wipe out the Iranian nuke program and similar defense research. It is imperitive!

Brazil is about 90% independent of oil imports, because of its ethanol flex fuel tech. In a few years from now it will be 100% independent. This may also be a reality for the US. It took 30yrs for Brazil to get to this %, however, I surmise that it will take the US about 1yr.

Iran as a result could strike first, which would be interesting, as they still have the stone age mind set.
