you should examine that attitude and why you felt so confident in the first place... many other more sober less "gung ho" people were not as in favor of this whole thing in the first place... and frankly although as a US citizen one should support the troops... that "concern" could turn into a "lesson" for many loud-mouthed, old fart war mongers in Washington. But as per Nam it will be paid for by the blood of others. That said... I hope we stand tall. But unlike you I don't give Bush a pass on this one, yet.
guys like you sitting at home all warm and fuzzy while others stand tall on behalf of your hyperbolic patriotic hogwash, sort of makes a lot of us sick! War ain't glamorous bro... and it's not exciting buddy. And you don't necessarily need it to establish oneself as having power if there are other ways to accomplish that objective. Bravado like yours' makes me p***! Why don't you grab a weapon and stand watch rather than shoot the bull on a message board... if you feel so strongly adverse to others who seek peace first before beginning this unilateral war?! Ice
Yes send in war mongers like our draft dodging President Bush, who during the Vietnam war put his tail between his legs and joined the National guard to avoid being drafted; who this past weekend was relaxing at Camp David, while the our brave soldiers were being gunned down half way around the globe. Our military is made up largely of minorities and the poor who can't find other jobs. Wake up guys, to borrow a line from the movie Wall Street, the Rich have been doing this to the poor since the time of pharaohs.
I examined my attitude and beliefs and was honest. I told you I supported the administration and still do. Would one even consider an undertaking as such without confidence? A belief that it could be done and must be done so we can protect your right to support the troops and stand tall. Pompous ass. Here's the kicker I'm a registered democrat.
Some folks are born made to wave the flag Ooh, they're red, white, and blue And when the band plays "Hail to the Chief" They point the cannon right at you It ain't me, it ain't me - I ain't no senator's son It ain't me, it ain't me - I ain't no fortunate one Some folks are born silver spoon in hand, Lord, don't they help themselves But when the tax man comes to the door, Lord the house looks like a rummage sale It ain't me, it ain't me - I ain't no millionaire's son It ain't me, it ain't me - I ain't no fortunate one Some folks inherit star spangled eyes, Ooh, they send you down to war And when you ask them, "How much should we give?" They only answer "More! More! More!", It ain't me, it ain't me - I ain't no military son It ain't me, it ain't me - I ain't no fortunate one It ain't me, it ain't me - I ain't no fortunate one
War making is distinguished from all other enterprises by one irrevocable reality: the stakes are higher. War can destroy everything achieved through other human endeavors. It can take away health, wealth, dignity, and life. It can assassinate civilization. Those who have never fought in war, have no sense of what war is. The Warrior is the provider of the most precious commodity, security. He delivers us from the most terrifying evil, the enemy. Little wonder that free men give their government the authority to force their sons to fight. To be a warrior means to serve your fellow man.

Aggression unchecked is aggression unleashed and knows no bounds. If weakness allows evil to triumph, then it is evil itself. ............................ I know War - up close and personal. Some things are worth fighting for. Some things are worth dying for. There are always lies and hypocrisy.......on all sides You must choose which is the lesser evil..... You can run, but you can't hide.
