Glad to see a fellow long-term position player here! Looks like more people are flocking to day trading and high frequency trading by each day and it's people like you who are proving that position trading still works great!
Hey Vhehn, Maybe you need to start your own journal instead of telling Cost what he needs to post on his. jas
i dont have a need to tell people what i am doing. in your case maybe someone with five posts should figure out the game before he sprouts off.
Interesting day that I'm sad I missed... Well any longs I still had on (about 7% of portfolio) I took off today.... I did set up put and short positions today in case this rally breaks down I won't be chasing....Also, this market is exhausted in my opinion. Anyone else sick of hearing the words "better than expected". Long SPY Aug 97 puts (1 for 1) Short SPY Aug 90 puts (1 for 1) Breakeven @ 95.53 Long SPY Sep 97 Puts (1 for 2.5sold) Short SPY Sep 85 Puts (2.5sold for 1) Breakeven @ 95.34 Long (Largest to smallest) SH, QID, TWM, SDS, VXX, DXD, EEV Mostly in cash and treasuries with some commodity ETFs and Currency ETFs. Personally this move has been somewhat irrational in my opinion. 100 points on the SPX in a straight line with "legends" like Billy Miller coming out an upgrading at this top...hmmmm $COSTAverageMAN
Hey Cost, Been following your posts and thread off and on for quite a while. Have you put that cash to work or are you still looking for a pull back? I think quite a few companies look good but I am only testing the waters with earnings plays. AFAM is one I have big hopes for. Look forward to your reply.
lol his name speaks for what has happened he dollar cost averages into positions based on a % draw down ... in this recession/depression whatever you want to call it and a 7 figure account... hes probably up 75-80% since beginning of this year.... I think id retire on 13MIL.. lol.. still i wanna hear the story
