  1. J smooth

I own 20 April 85 puts on NYX

See---- I wanted to own at least 1000 shares on a nice little dip down....I paid 5.20 for the puts so I was trying to buy in at 79.80 to be perfect, but I felt like 80.40 was near a short term bottom....

Now I have a position With only .60c of down side till April expiration......I don't think it will go much higher, but now I can trade the ups and downs......Almost riskless

  2. I was up till 3:30 a.m. trying to figuring out how in the world one gets information about what mutual funds are buying or selling. I know that they are able to move stocks and that they do it gradually, but I can't imagine that they would just forcast their moves for everyone to see. Where do you go to even look for that information if it is not that secret.

Also, thanks for the example of one of your screens. That has really helped me out. You are right on with breakouts, that's for sure. I checked out the Vector Vest website. I have received advertisements for them in the mail, but I was not so sure if they were a good thing or not. I mean, I get stock advertisement stuff every day in the mail--"sign up now and you could make $300,000 on your next trade." Have you used their training material or have you attended their seminars? Do you use other screening software that you have found helpful? Thanks. I've got to turn in my paper that I have been working on and then I can check out the market.

    Good Trading

  3. Great thread, just found it yesterday and I'll continue to keep up to date on it as long as you keep posting. I'm not currently trading due to lack of decent capital and I work full time during the day but I'm able to watch the markets and keep up to date on whats going on. One little nit, in your excel spreadsheet the title of column L is "Price on Feb 24" - I think that should be "Current Price". Keep up the good work and I am sure you are an inspiration to many of us!

  4. $Cost,
I just wanted to say that I have been lurking and enjoying your thread a lot. I have been playing with some of your stocks and been finding some of my own for the last week or so with nice results. I like the idea of placing a lot of bets and diversifying across sectors/markets. I finished taking my AX/NYX dough off the table earlier this week and I need to preserve it instead of acting like the big swinging dick that the trade tried to convince me that I am. God, that was so obvious, I should have bet the ranch. How many times do you get to buy calls on an "IPO" before it goes public? ;)
Anyway, keep up the good work.

What's your target for LIV? Are you looking for a retrace up to the .59 to .63 range.... or do you have another target?

    Thanks for the call
