For all those who worked at Washington Mutual, Enron, Worldcom, sent to their deaths in Iraq looking for something that everyone knew didn't exist, etc.. don't blame the system or the rich who are slicing and dicing the country up for their gains, just accept it!
I agree with what you say here; that the root of the problem is a bad life philosophy...but I also agree with the basic premise of the story. Bad philosophy is the rule in society, not the exception. In other words, I'm not saying it's right that people get jealous and pissed off that others have more than they do, but it does seem to be human nature. As the wealth is concentrated into a smaller pool of people the greater the possibility of revolution.
