(a) Thanks for that. I like it, will do so from now on. (b) MAs are an alternative SYSTEM that I am trying out over the next 6 months. Prior to that my charts had only the 200-day ema. But I saw something recently when trading the Qs and it encouraged me a great deal to try one pair out. In progress, no verdict yet.
Duh! I use it for a host of reasons, that they are late does not bother me. The visual in a fast moving market is what I am after as I plunk down big dough and the adrenalin is high on a Short-term chart that I've upped my risk on bigtime. The visual keeps 70% gain in my pocket despite being late compared to pure Price .............. I'll have a live example of this as I try it out in my trading the Qs starting Monday.
I can't figure it out either, but I'm trying to get something useful out of this thread... Hey Margin_Gamble.... how are you with fixing chainsaws? I tried to trim a tree yesterday, always a dicey proposition at best, but my damn chainsaw wouldn't start. I have spark, fuel, I even checked the compression, AND tried spraying starting fluid into the carb... and the damn thing still won't start. You seem to know quite a bit about everything... help a brother out. (Where's Murray_turtle, I'll bet he'll know.) Ok... back to our "the sky is falling" discussion.
Two things come to mind. A) make sure the chain brake is not engaged, B. Make sure the chain bar has enough lube in the reservoir and the chain is not too tight. It should be pullable by hand across the bar when the engine is off with some moderate resistance.
