I would be willing to wager on the fact that ET posts were used by the research staff making the movie. This is THE largest trading board around, and anyone who searches trading forums on google finds this site first.

I'd wager $1,000 on the fact that the sentiment here was used in the movie.

I sat there as gecko said, "look at those crooks (the inv. banks), they make me look like small change," and rooted him on! lol!

So much of that movie sounded like the sentiment on here it was scary. I kept waiting for someone to say, "hell, look at what the people making a living trading down and dirty are saying on Elitetrader about the state of affairs going on."

Oh wow! I didn't even notice that! He's aged, but the "Good, Bad, and the Ugly" has been some time ago since made.

  8. One of the great lines delivered by Eli Wallach was in The Magnificent Seven.

"If God didn't want them sheared, he wouldn't have made them sheep."

Would have worked well in this movie too had he said it.

Some more of his lines which would have worked in the Wall Street movie.

"Generosity. That was my first mistake. I leave these people a little bit extra and they hire these men to make trouble."

"Shows you — sooner or later you must answer for every good deed."

  9. Good catch, nitro! :)

There might be more Easter eggs in this film. I will most likely get the bluray and watch it again.

Yeah, I'll probably sit down on a Sunday afternoon and watch it again too. It's not a disaster of a movie. I gave it 3 out of 5 stars, but may bump that to 3.5:)
