You're probably right... But we'll disagree about this being a bad thing... To me, that is one more reason for me to already like them, even before I try their steak...
That's why many Wall Streeters went and are going to tech and startups with a more relaxed culture. Life is short.
Wonder how you feel about anyone you tip at the Peter Luger steakhouse that does not report THEIR tip earnings to the IRS. The waiters and whomever else serve you in a fancy restaurant who take tips...Are you not a fan of them? Do you ask them if they report their tips to the IRS, and based upon their response, decide upon whether to tip them or not? If the tables were turned and YOU were the server, how much of your tip income would YOU report to the IRS? If you found 100 oz. of gold on the beach tomorrow with a metal detector, would you dutifully report to the IRS that you received $135,000 in cash the following week from a pawnshop/smelter/whomever? Curious attitude you have there, LL. Part art, part science, I guess?
-1.. Foot meet mouth.... When you`re good & established enough to demand Cash for services/ items rendered then one does not need to be at the mercy of the Bank Skim... I always & will continue to support the Cash only businesses ... when I hear the sheep, disregard the NO CC signs all over in order to avoid uncomfortable situations for the client, complain at the table, I make sure I take the time to educate them. The only minor inconvenience at Lugers is that you can`t utilize the company expense CC.. but that does not hurt them in the least. The best Steak Sauce hands down without even a close second... Now offered in Supermarkets in NYC area. It`s a good thing, Cash only, LL!
