  4. But seriously, there are some rich art communities in NH, however nothing beats getting established in a big city with a good gallery. There are many galleries and most do not do enough to promote the artist work (and still take their 40%!).
Signing up with a small and shitty gallery is like paying 100,000 for an eduction at a 4th trier school. You might as well save your time and money.

Have you tried using your background/connections in the financial industry to sell your work?

I am no longer in NH, been there for a semester in UNH back in 1997. A friend of mine gave me a contact in Concord and I had a note exhibited there. It will be exhibited again in next january.
I am now in Paris, I have contacts with one gallery in France who is interested by my work but it has not moved yet and it's a small gallery. Another one is a starting one, not yet established but with very good connections in the Financial french community.
And yes I am trying to use my connections in the financial industry. Of course these are people who are most interested in what I do. Most of them like it but are not necessarily interested in art that much. All the Gekko notes I sold were to bankers. The Gekko was sold to Norwegian working in financial industry in London.
This is why I came on EliteTrader because I thought most people who might be interested in my stuff would be here. Now I can understand many of you don't like it at all even if you are traders.
You mentioned you had experience in art world, what were doing exactly ?

For el pollo, I just came across this browsing the web :

This was made by Banksy. Seems I am not the only one to reinterpret Warhol's works :)
In case some of you don't know who Banksy is, he is the most famous street artist in UK and his works are now highly saught (seeked ?) after on the contemporary art market.

And as far as I know, he had no problems with Warhol's Estate though he obviously used Warhol's template :)

    Just sayin'....
