    Brokerboy,

OK, let's see. First you post this, implying that Diamondtrim is a liar, and doesn't make but maybe $200 per day .

Then, he posts his monthly report for May (upon request), indicating $50k+ for May. And now that's not good enough for you. You have to post this reply?

Now, I guess your point being that he "only" makes $2k per day... "do the math." => Give me a break. You're not making sense, IMO.

"I know people making half million a year" => who cares? How is this pertinent to the discussions on this thread?

"My problem is he was off a week at least so now he needs to make near 3300 or so to hit that number. The numbers don’t add up." => What doesn't add up? Are you suggesting that a trader cannot average over $3300 per day for the month? I know traders that daytrade for their own accounts and are averaging over this amount daily since the start of 2004.

I'm still confused with your last post. Do you not believe that he posted a 'real' screenshot? Or, are you saying that his results were peanuts and not impressive for you? If you do believe his results, then I think an apology would be in order, and no hard feelings to anyone. If you don't believe him, then I would suggest you just say that, and then don't feel then need to read or post on this thread in the future.

    Have a great weekend, all.

  2. Eric,

Thanks for the nice words. I don't really pay attention to people doubting me. People are always welcome to question, I don't mind that. I try to give clear answers. The thread was and is still meant to give kind of a real-time play by play about a day in the life. I never ever said I trade every day, I also don't close things out every night either. Anyone who is NOT a moran, and looks at the things I am in, they see GOOG, SHLD, CME, TOL, etc. Trading that at 200-400 shares and being in about 5 to 17other things at any one time you can make $2400 without a problem and without being in 5K shares. Different time, different style, different tools, at the end of the day it is about the results. If I only make another 50K the whole year I will still be ok. That is the name of the game, I can coast through summer taking as much time off as I want......that's my pleasure. (From Friday) If the end of the year quarter turns out good all the better.

  3. Eric I saw his screen shots and they don’t add up close to 50k. All this non posting days would have to be like 5k each day. I got no problems with you and I think you’re a good trader. I won't post on this thread so end of fight. Also i know guys making that money too.

  4. I am calling bullshit on your bullshit. I think I understand why you have not posted a blotter pic. Your math skills are off pal, way off. The first time I mentioned this was on another thread.

Here was final P/L for the first time I posted.

That is the 11th of may which means I traded 7 days before I even started the original thread. I think the only thing you have proven is you choose not to believe me. As I have said many many times I don't post every day and I don't trade every day either. I'm done on this tangent.

I appreciate your comment, and I probably flew off the handle a bit with my post. I do agree that healthy skepticism is a very good thing to have on ET and that more than just a few folks on ET tend to inflate their results/abilities. I guess my BS meter never really generated an alert with DT, as he never seemed to be hyping anything and seemed reasonable with his results (posting screenshots and all). I do believe his results and just hope this thread can continue without getting into a fight.

On another note, I do think that this is a very useful thread. It helps to show what traders can do in the markets, and prove that trading can be done successfully. Many times on ET, the successful traders get ambushed and attacked by disbelievers. I get a little defensive when I see another successful trader fall into this trap, as the same thing has happened to me several times.

Again, I appreciate your post and think that it takes a mature person to end a fight before it gets out of hand. Thanks again, and happy trading.

  7. Sometimes, probably a "Real" screenshot like the following (1st April) statement would be very hard to verify.

Excellent point, and a pertinent post. Suffice it to say that while a 9 year old might be able to create that sort of a screen shot, I can say for certain that I could not, LOL. However, clearly people are able to do these sorts of things, and screenshots cannot necessarily be assumed to be 'proof', as you point out. Which leaves us where we started, using our own, individually and finely honed BS meters.

  9. ET is supposed to be for sharing ideas, methods, and tools. I use Trade-Ideas and like it. The reason it makes a big impact on my trading is that from what I have seen there are virtually no alternatives. For me it is the sweet spot between completely automated trading and old school tape reading. I tried and found only 4 slightly similar things out there. Anyways this thread is getting off base. I am going to start another one hopefully we can keep it on the subject of trading.

Perhaps Spyder should not have posted his response too early at " 05-12-05 05:32 AM", against a post at "05-12-05 05:12 AM".
