I do short workouts in the morning, some mild cardio or weights for about half hour, make sure you don't go past half hr, because too much can end up making you more tired. The workout and a cold shower afterwards does the trick for me. I am not a morning person either and I've tried coffee and energy drinks in the past and they didnt work as well as the morning workouts. Hopefully you have similar luck.
What time do you go to bed? To get really good sleep, I eat a banana before bed. It's basically like a sleeping pill. I get good, deep sleep. Worth a try.
like some said... - full 8 hours of sleep - run or exercise first thing when you wake up - hydrate throughout the day (at least 1 gallon of water) - protein first thing after your exercise or run in the morning - luke warm shower (not hot, not cold, medium temp) make sure the room you are in has fresh air and lots of sun light...
I drink 1 liter of Diet Mt Dew each morning. I know it's probably destroying my liver, but I am not a morning person and I have mouths to feed.
You have to find a consistent time to wake up. Your body works in patterns. The best thing you can possibly do is set the alarm clock for 6 am and then just jump into the shower. force yourself to do it if necessary. After a week or two your body will get used to the same sleeping pattern and you'll wake up at that time naturally. Make sure you get the full 8 hours of sleep every night and you'll have no problem.
I have the same problem, so I usually just trade late afternoons. When I do wake up, 1st thing I get is a monster energy drink. I don't eat food since I am not hungry in the morning. Also, what helped me today is spending the time to label my charts with LH and lines. It started to wake up my mind. I then also waited for the market to show me where it was going instead of jumping into the trade and taking a loss. Only issue today is that I killed my profit too soon. I also think that Jack made a good point, if you are able to make enough money trading to move, then move east if you want to wake up earlier.
