i'm fascinated the psychological connection you see necessary with the gap filling? I don't buy it, since if this news occured mid-day or markets traded 24 hrs, there would be no gaps. to me I see it much simpler -- we were testing support levels, which look to be established (80 zone) now and are ready for a leg up. going back to 60 doesn't make sense unless fundamentals change (enter a bear market or earnings disappoint).
I don't believe I was clear, I do not think AAPL will go to $60.00. I am holding the stock from $60.00 and have no plans to sell it. I doubt I would sell it if it went to $50.00. The future price of the stock is anybody's guess. I am curious whether the latest gap will fill from a technical standpoint. I was speaking to the op who was talking about the short term prospects for the stock. I expect that the stock will pull back maybe to $80.00 and then go above $100 at some point. Just my $.02.
