Wagner Russian Coup

Prigozhin coup served a number of objectives;

1) His main beef was lack of ammunition. By taking over the military compounds at Rostov-on-Don, most likely got what he came for.
2) He was pissed at Shoigu, early reports are Shoigu is stepping down.
3) Recruitment; the coup essentially humiliated Putin, got Wagner out of Ukraine claiming being there was 'based on lies.' The ease of advancement demonstrated the strength of Wagner and the weakness of the Russian military.
4) This one's a longshot. The possible acquisition of a nuke. They advanced toward Voronezh 45 nuclear facility. The Russian helicopter that was shot down was in that vicinity. This would make the 'trust' of any 'security guarantees' irrelevant.

Kiev is closer to Belarus than Wagner was to Moscow. But that doesn't jive with 'based on lies.'

When something doesn't make sense, usually there is more pieces to the puzzle that are hidden.

My point of view is that this is a political struggle between two guys, Putin is in firm control but things got out of hands a little, other day in Russia. No one is going to overthrow anyone, the beef is to bring the mercenaries into the formal structure.. Ask Erik if he can bring his men from Virginia to DC without firefight.
